That'd be a little of .... Make hay while the sun shines!!
No doubt, sewing is "good" for you while he's away ... helps to keep you busy and your mind focused on something.
I know you miss him, as we know absence makes the ♥ grow fonder!

Our DS still lives at home but he works long hours so I rarely see him, and he is every to cook for, keep it simple Mum. DH will be home for our anniversary next month so we might do something special, 34 years and counting.
I never would have attempted the FWS without the encouragement of members of this Board and also saddle up for the PC quilt, so thank you everyone. You are a wonderful group of people.

    Hi Michelle,

FWS is Farmers Wife Sampler. It is Laurie Hird's first book. We are doing her second book which is the Farmers Wife Pony Club. You can get the patterns from her book which comes with a CD here:

    Hope you join us!

Laurie Aaron Hird wrote 2 books. I'm not sure about the name of the first one except it had Farmers Wife Sampler in it's name. The Second book is Farmer's Wife Sampler Pony Club. Last year several of these board members did the FWS club & made some wonderful blocks & I'm sure wonderful quilts. (I haven't seen 'em.) I was very excited to join this second BOW club after I had seen some of the blocks in the first club.
Here's the thread that explains The FWS pony club.

I did another substitute block. I played with my fabrics & couldn't seem to make the "Basket of Flowers" work. So this is what I come up with instead.

Thanks! I hope I don't have too many that I have to substitute. I really want to make the PC blocks!
