Great balance of colors, Carrie. OBTW--I'm behind again.

I finally finished my Cowboy's Star! It is the worst block I've ever made. So very wonky. If I can't make it look right w/the attic windows I'll just replace it!

dublb--I have had a couple "wonky" blocks too. I haven't tried this one yet. I like the fabrics you chose...the flags look like their moving.

Oh yeah I got Freezer Paper. It is what I've been makin' my templates out of. I must have sewn 1 or more of the triangles backwards. Thanks for the tip, I think it'll help.

dublb, my cowboy's star came out much wonkier than yours. I'm going to do it over when I have time. I love your fabrics, the star really shines.

Dubib...you have enough allowance to square this block up. Might need to frame it to make it the right size but that's easier than redoing that block! It was worse than the confederate rose?

Ok I think there's a lot of hope now. First I'll trim it as square as I can, then I'll use the freezer paper, & add a frame. Ya'll are awesome. Thanks so much.

Alas, I'm doing some catch up ...
It looks like the star points are all lined up and with the 1/4" seam allowances ready for you to slice some off the sides and square it up Yes? No?

You couldn't have chosen a better fabric combo ... and to keep with your American patriotic theme! The flag fabric looks whiter than IRL ... and yes, some bling for the flags!
