    Default Confederate Rose...

Well now I know why some of you changed the name of this block! The "y-seams" sure made me slow down, but I think all in all it turned out ok...needs to be pressed again.

Slowly but surely I am going to catch up! I have fabric for 3 more blocks cut so should be able to get those finished before the week is over....should...I will have my 2yo nephew here the next couple days so that might not be realistic, but I AM going to try!!

I like it Carriem; you met the challenge and won!! It is all good practice for what is to come in the PC book. Ella's favorite block threw me a curve yesterday. Although I have done two Wedding Ring quilts; I had to rip out twice yesterday; finally, just started in the middle of the third ring and sewed out each way from there while stretching the smaller ring. Eastertide block was half paper piecing and half not; I managed to mess up both...so onward we go into more adventures and challenges.

CarrieM ... perfect fabrics, and contrasts chosen! And you've got a lovely block. And good for you for tackling this one, as you work on your y-skills!
