QNS....good fussy cuts and that cow is just too cute OKsewglad......Dublb.....you talk about the sweet butter. When I was 12, I went with my Grandma on a trip to visit all her relatives in the country around Utah and Idaho.....I remember we went to one house and I was told to "churn" the butter. The lady, in the meantime, baked bread....when I was done we had warm bread, homemade jam and fresh sweet butter. I don't remember a whole lot about the trip.....I guess I was a dumb tweener.....but I certainly have always remembered this experience. I was Most impressed.....
    What a wonderful sculpture.....so realistic!

I need to get back to making butter. Just have to let it rise to the top and skim it before DH takes his first glass in the morning. I whip it in the blender even though I have a Dazey churn from DH's mother's family. It is so soft and creamy!

So if when I make whipped cream, I keep whipping it in the blender, it would be sweet butter?

That's right, Bev! Many times whipped cream is a failure because it was whipped too long. When butter making I like to have cream at room temperature.

I used to make butter too. The best cake I ever made was with homemade butter & the buttermilk. Also the girls and I used to make a lot of sourcream cookies. With 2 boys & 2 girls they really liked a snack when they came home from school, before helping with the chores.

    My blocks for this week

OOOh a little bit of creamy butter has spilled into your blocks too. This subtle shade change will add a little drama to your calm blues and tans! Looking for more of it to show up.

DublB ... I never add suggar when whipping cream! For me it's plenty rich enough that I don't need/want the sweetness added. Have you never taken whipped cream too far ..... I know I have, when I just want to get it a little stiffer, and then oh oh!

    <clap><clap><clap> Some butter in
    GrannyQ's mix!
    More *sighs*
