MiraB ... Oh dear! what an experience for your DD. Although I will admit that I did have a good laugh at the teacher's expense, for taking the laundry to the teacher!! Good for you!!!! I'm sure at the time none of it was funny ... and hopefully now, all can laugh about it.

As for me ... the only food allergy I know I have is to shrimp.

OKSGlad ... yea for the new printer and installation. Hopefully it does all the things you want it to do for quilting, too!

Maybe it was the cat?? We have a cat who will turn our printer on and off. She runs to the bedroom (where the printer is) and gets ready to pounce when you are printing stuff out. She has also some how figured out how to install the same printer multiple times!! When that happens we have to choose another printer in order for something to print! What a pain!! So far we've only had to completely uninstall and re-install a few times and it keeps working...thankfully!!

Note to self--another reason not to have a cat in the house!! What a hoot Carrie! (I've had several house cats, but as I get older the less beholding I want to be to an animal.)

    **cries to self**
I miss my cats and dogs dearly

    **mutters to self**
... I DO NOT miss their hair ........ everywhere!!

And if you want to see mess ... dalmatian hair!
At the same time, we had a Goldie, and despite his long hair, I much preferred it to the Dal .... think long hair on top of things vs. short grey needles sticking into upholstery, carpet, feet, clothing ....

I've got 2 dogs & 2 cats! Another reason I had ta clean yesterday! All of that cat & dog hair behind everything. I guess puttin' the vacuum hose behind the couch is not enough. I'm a bad housekeeper in that I don't know where ta put stuff & it piles up. I thought that my main problem was the clutter. Things were 'clean', vacuumed, dusted, mopped & scrubbed, but very cluttered. Humph, cat & dog hair behind everything. I love my furbabys!

Oh sure ... put your Goldie first, to steal my ♥
    Love them all!!!
BTW ... my Goldie was 1/2 Retriever and 1/2 Scotch Collie! ... characteristics of both breeds, big dog, long hair with the goldie waves, bushy and wiry. In the summer we used to get him shaved and turn him into a Golden Lab!!

Well, she stole my heart at Whattaburger trying ta get inta everybody's cars, then runnin' front of 'em. I thought she was about ta git run over. I thought ta myself ..'surely somebody is lookin' for this puppy w/an expensive hunting collar, I'll find her owner.' We took her home & put up flyers, put adds in the paper & radio. 3 weeks later she was ours. The Vet says that she is full blood Lab. That's why we named her Orphan Annie.
Belle is part Lab & part Golden Retriever

I bet that Lucy was a great dog! Not all owners have the control they think they have!

I love hearing about your wonderful pets. We have 2 Border Collies and they are dying for attention all the time. You'd swear no one ever petted them. And they are great around the grands. Lucky, the male, comes up to 18 mo Sam and he buries his head into Lucky's furry chest. Lucky just loves it. 7 yo GD is coming this weekend and she loves to hug both Silk and Lucky and they love it too. But BC's in the house, no thank you. Both are pretty good size and I'd be giving them baths all the time cuz BC's don't care if they are dirty. Dashing through the cowlot is their idea of fun! Nough said.
