I just wanted to let y'all know that I made an announcement yesterday with the Yahoo group.
My username on QB is Honchey...I am refreshing this thread so that any and all members of the "disbanded" Yahoo Group are more than welcome here on the QB Block of the Month & Week.
We are currently doing 2 blocks a week (not written in stone)...sew at your own pace..There are 2 threads posted every Tuesday evening...one for photos and one for discussion for that week's blocks....We also have milestones for every 15 blocks completed... and we also have a week's "break" every once in awhile...you know, to catch up..take a breather and so on...There are no quillt police here....We do support each other in all aspects of quilting and give pats on the backs as well. Being this is a "Pony Club" we've more or less have taken on a western "lingo" so don't be surprised if you find yourself 'round a campfire' or 'pullin' up the rear of the chuck wagon' (no sewing that week)...We give each other nicknames...
.
Laurie has kindly mentioned our group and we really do welcome all sewers/quilters (all levels of expertise )with open arms ....So come on over and join the "Trailride". Honchey/Anne

Wonderful to have the chance to meet some of the yahoo pony club trail drivers. Wonder if any will join from my state...Conn...Iowa...Mo...TX...PA...(I probably missed some but only because I don't usually pay attention most of the time but do remember these from their frequent postings)....from Canada...from Brazil...from the Netherlands? We are such an International group but find it easy to stay connected with all the opportunities Honchey gives us. I just checked and missed Honchey's state altogether...New Jersey! Sorry.
WELCOME!!!!

yipppeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! More to cook for, more stories we can all exchange about our families, recipes and quilting stories and patterns!! Honchey, you may have to use your "bull horn" to get everyone's attention at the virtual RV round up campfire or the fenced in patio area I can see. No bugs. I hate bugs 'cause they love me too much.
Reality is harder to face some days. Our faithful GMC professional grade 4x4 broke down again yesterday on the way to dh fishing buddy and my quilting friend. There were other plans for the $$$ instead of that cable that engages the gear shift. Best news was it got us to the mechanic and no towing bill. Our best friends picked us up, the guys went fishing, then she brought us home. Part is ordered and will be put in next week. Will see what happens today. Life is always taking us around another curve in the road. Maybe extra time in the quilting room will make our days a little brighter. Maybe I can get some photographs of 30 blocks....to post.

I'm so sorry that you've had a hard time with your GMC.

Well, no phone call today, so the GMC truck is not fixed...yet. Silver linning in that cloud is that best friend, Susan is residing at our house until the part comes in Monday or Tuesday so she can take me back to pick it up. She has taught me so much about quilting, although we think differently, we can "see" each others strengths. So we plan a lot of time in the quilting room. She has to keep reminding me not too cook to much!! I do not do "fish" for any meal; just the meat from an animal that squeal, moo, or cluck.
Spent the day doing those "errands" that are must 'do' so we can quilt tomorrow. Little ducks thanked me for their new steel pan swimming pool as they ducked their heads and splashed so much water with their feet, they scared themselves and ran off onto the dry wood shaving floor. Turkeys took off in flight again around their stock tank pen, reminding us that we will need to trim wing feathers future, if we want them to stay at home. Found a local source to order from in the future.
Time to go back to the virtual RV and roost the marshmallows, Who was suppose to bring them this time?
