You'll have to tell your DH my guess.

Oh, don't quit!! Plenty of fowl left to guess. They are raised in Iowa, 'real hawk-eyed' fowl, at New Vienna(?), Iowa. These came from Lebanon, Mo.; McMurray Hatchery of Webster City, Iowa also handles them. Excellent watchdogs, eat ticks and other pests. Our Red hens and Dark Cornish hens came from McMurrays. Dark Cornish have a 'hawk' bill and sparrow feet...and will forage for themselves very well. Thinking about a pair of Peacocks, that makes a loud annoying sound when disturbed as a raccoon alert system at night. If you have ever heard a pair at the Zoo, you know what I am saying.

I'm thinking maybe Guineas? Are we all a bunch of trivia nuts?

Oh and about the Grands-- bless their hearts that they all have their own personalities!

Well Im visiting my sister and parents wondering if I will get home anytime soon! the fire has gone over the mountain into the next valley threatening two more small towns and the closure of the freeway, they have had one little helicopter on the job and only the county firefighters, the fire is up to 100,000 acres in only one week!!! and with 10 major fires burning in the state, the governor refuses to ban the sale of fireworks for the year.... makes you wonder....

    !!!HAPPY HOLIDAY EVERYONE!!!

OMG .. the vastness of the fire, and the Governor's non-action on the fireworks!
    Thankfully
DDamsel, you have your family for a safe place ... meanwhile, quilt your sorrows away!

OMG, DDamsel, that is so awful and scary for you. My heart goes out to you and all those in the fire zone. My prayers are with you all.

Carrie, Your wreath is really pretty, i like it just the way you have it. It doesn't need any more buttons. Your daughter will be wanting more of her own stash pretty soon. It is really great when the younger ones want to sew.
