Thanks Ladies ... it was a fun weekend!

I had it in my plans for sometime to do the patriotic blocks for each country represented, so vowed to myself that they were getting done! It was kind of fun. The ongoing challenge has been how to work in the yellows for some. My Canada block was probably the toughest. I actually made the block twice, as instead of the dark leaf print I had put my O Canada text fabric in the background with the yellow inserts, but the whole block just didn't have any zing to it. Remade it last night and am much happier.

The PP maple leaf is a remake of one I found on the internet. I might still remake it a bit as the left points are not quite even with the right in the pattern. Will take some time to do that ... and for now, not a priority! Never thought I wanted a light box, and am starting to think it would be a handy thing to have.

JanRN ... It's easy-peasy to do ... you could leave it the size as is or blow it up, if you want a larger beaver. I'll send you the pattern details, as I need to look that up! With the story, perhaps you need to do several for your DS? And what a story it is!! Endangered species here too, and because of their industriousness, are hated by many!

Anael ... I know you said you are doing your quilt blocks as scrappy. Are you keeping the strip across each block a match, so you see the weave within a block? or not necessarily?

QNSue and JanieW ... see something familiar in LilIsaBram? and John's Favourite? Thank you for your contributions!!!

So patriotics are done ... now can you guess what my next twist on the PC blocks might be??

What delightful eye candy QE! I love how you added the Aussie flag and roo in the block. And the LilIsaBram block is so precious! I'm still hoping to get back to work on these. Winter is supposed to be my downtime--not this year.

Oh QE! Ya are doin' so wonderful! Those are just too wonderful!!!! The block for Bram & Isa just pricked my heart!
I'm not gonna git a PC block done this week, I don't think. My plan was ta do it taday but DDIL has been put on bed rest for at least a week. She is at 35 weeks & the Dr.s want her ta wait at least one more week before she delivers. I'm gonna go over there & do what I can ta git some stuff done for her taday. So that she isn't tempted ta git up & do it. DGS should be takin' a nap when I git there & that is when she is tempted ta do stuff. DDIL's DM will do the runnin' for her taday. I"ll probably have a new DGBaby next week.

OKSGlad ... Glad you enjoyed the candy!!! At first I was going to use the Aussie flag fabric for the background, but the flags were just too big and would have got chopped with the PP, so I got creative. I just felt Bram and Isa needed to be with us in the quilt! Hopefully you can capture some me-time one of these times. Remind yourself that you need it for your sanity!!

DublB ... Ditto ... and above! It was fun doing them all!! Here comes another baby! Nice that you can help out your DDIL.

So ... is no one taking a venture as to what my next twist is?

Progress, QuiltE, I am very proud of you and great designs and color. Have company yet, but had to take a moment to chat.

Tried Mirabelle's 4 x 7 inch blocks and cut it the 1 1/2 from the seam...it works great. Thanks for the idea.

Hope you're enjoying your company ... are you quilting with them?
Thanks for the compliments ... remember some of that fabric? I really like the look of that barn and field in John's Fav. Thank you for your part in it!

The resident Brit is on his way home from WI. Even if I did show him ... he would show very little interest. I can see it now .... nod of the head "that's nice dear".

Pat him on the head and say "good dog" ... oh no, did I say that?
