Oh dear for the chicken tackle!
I've heard of teaching the kids how to rope and tie calves, by starting with sheep ... so do you start smaller, with chickens? Sorry, just couldn't resist asking!
Poor kid ... this'll be something that'll be told for ever and ever in the family ... to his embarrassment!

The conversations have been very interesting. I also had chickens, we also had 150 head of ewe's at one time. Most of them had twins, so we had them in every building we had. Also had two milk cows and also had beef cows. During lambing season we had to check the ewe's during the night especilly if we had a cold spell. At one time we had 23 bottle babies to feed around the clock.

Now will try to load week 8 blocks.

Super blocks, GrannyQ! Love the darker piece in the 1st block--has such a rich look to it. FIL used to have a ewe flock, too, about 50 of them. Wow 23 on the bottle. That's a lot of bottles to fill 2x a day.

GrannyQ...all of your blocks are coming at the same time. You've really been working, but it is a lot easier than lambing time I'm sure. So glad you've joined us.
