I'm starting to regret my decision to have the yellow and/or anchor fabric in every block.
I'm not sure it worked so well for the Clover Blossom (note, Red Clover!). And then it made the Colt's Corral a little too yellow. I might re-do it, as I just didn't get the stripes right either ... oh for the dangers of stripes!! I knew it, and shouldn't have tried it while in the sick ward!

OK...mine are done for this week......QuiltE.....really like your fabric choices......I cannot, for the life of me, get a "straight" picture, but you all get the idea.....LOL! They really are square (I hope)!
OOPS! I should have ironed these better....oh well,..

QuiltE...I like your blocks. If you aren't sure of the yellow in each block, maybe you could add a secondary background color for some and mix them up. Sashing will also make a difference.
Wendig..you've certainly lassoed the corral. Your corners on the other block are spot on. Great work.

Clover Blossom and Colt's Corral
When I saw all your blocks I said to myself, wow!
Honchey, I love your bright colors and the swirl fabric!
mirabelle, you WILL have a beautiful quilt. No one will see any slight imperfections, they don't matter. I'm learning that myself.
janRN, your blocks look great, I like them, nice job!!
QuiltE, I really like the yellow in your blocks. You have green clovers and I love the contrast in colt's corral. Great job! Hope you feel better soon!
wendiq, Great fabrics, beautiful colors in clover blossom!!
I have just finished mine.

Thank you all for the compliments. I love all your blocks.
QuiltE, I like the yellow background, your blocks are so cheery. I started out trying to use the same background in all my blocks but I found it too limiting. Some of the fabrics I wanted to use didn't work with the white so I'm back to mixing my backgrounds to suit the block.
Wendi, that rope fabric makes that block "move" and your contrast with the red & blue is so nice.
Termi, you have the cutest fabric-love the horseshoes and little sheep. Both blocks are so cute.

WOW!! Lots of new stuff since I was here this morning!!
WendiQ ... Nice subtle contrast in the rope and plain fabrics, and keeps it from not being so stripey. It looks like that rope is just winding from one strip to the other, under the plain. Great mix of the ol' RW+B in the Clover Blossom.
Termi .... oooohhh I like those fabrics. You worked hard to get those horseshoes and the boards all in the same direction for all the pieces. Nicely done and envious of those two fabrics. Cute little sheep in the clover patch!!
Thanks everyone, for giving me a boost on my blocks. I do like the cheery-ness of the yellow, just that I'm thinking some of the blocks just would look better if I didn't have it there! Good idea, GGal about a 2nd background fabric. Wonder what?
I'm trying to not get myself too bothered at this point as I know the sashing can really make a difference. Plus it's still early, and with more blocks, as I choose fabrics to help coordinate more, I know the look will keep changing!
