I did a quick google search--this looked like fun--liberating as well.

So armed with a lot of information and a lot of prayers. I quilted it in sections, the top 4 blocks, then the centrepiece and 4 blocks together and then the last 4 blocks, sewed the panels together at the front then hand sewed the overlap at the back then quilted that sashing strip, hope that makes sense. I then zigzaged the wadding to the sides for the final bordersand attached the final borders with the backing fabric all pinned at the same time so no hand sewing, just had to mitre the corners both back and front and then I decided to do a two color binding so I would have black on the front to match the border fabric and cream on the back to match the backing.

Now my daughter and I can fight over who gets to keep it..

I have to drop it off tomorrow as it is going into an exhibition in a couple of weeks and I can't make it so friends are taking it for me.
Oh, my word!! That's absolutely gorgeous!!!

What a terrific deal that was Anne! If I can find EQ7 for that, I would buy it in a heartbeat!!! Better start watching Ebay.

Wow Anne, that was a good deal. Good luck with it. The Lessons are really worth the time to go through as well as taking a look at Rhonda's QB tutorials. I had trouble with the videos--seems my computer was too slow.

Anne, EQ people have been wonderful and worked with us through computer crashes, etc., putting on dh computer and mine. Dh is the draftsman since he had the training and work experience, and I have the imagination (surprise to everyone I am sure, lol!!). So I am sure they will please you, too. Great price for it.

I have block base plus 7 other programs included in it. Learning curve may take a while, depending on how much you work with it to really learn what all it can do. I have not worked at it very hard yet...other things distract me from really studying it out and applying its use.

Had company this weekend; quilter friend and I worked on quilts for 3 little boys, 5,6,and 7 years old taken in by her daughter when the law took them from parents running a Meth lab raid (third strike), and they are doing so well with the daughter's care. Each will have their own name on their quilt; which will be the same design and color so they will not fuss on which is the better one. Hope to finish them this week and get them quilted across the road with the Moss Girls.

    **S*M*I*L*E**

Remember way back when I posted and said I couldn;'t stop to read.
Alas! I finally came back here and read .... the whole thread!

Aw shucks ... nice to be missed by you lovelies!

MiraB ... that quilt is spectacular! You mentioned it being shown, and perhaps you updated in later threads? How did you do?

QNSue ... While a different theme, yours is a beauty too! How special and so nicely coordinated on the fabrics. So now we know that DH is a quilter too!

OKSGlad ... What special blocks you created and I didn't even know this! I've now printed them off and when I get back into sewing mode, I think they will be the first ones I'll put together. #2 or #3 are my choices ... not sure which I'll do.

EQ ... you're all talking way over my head!

All? ... So OKSGlad did a ML block ... has anyone created any Tulips, Leaves or Frogs ??
