Great job, OK. You inspire me to try one....some day. Or I will just send you more scraps again. Got 3 plastic bags worth so far. (Not full just a few in each bag.) Small scraps like only you can be productive with them! Need to weed them down to size yet.

Tornadoes have hit South and North of us, causing a lot of damage and power outages. Went to get chicken feed on Tuesday morning and the store was all black....no lights. But the salespeople were working by flashlight, taking orders and filling them while you waited. Our fowl appreciated their service. On to Wal Mart, and it was also black and locked....no service at all. No other power outages going north in my hometown. Small towns South and West of us was hit, but no fatal deaths, just property damage and a few cuts and bruises. It hit down by Kansas City and up in south-eastern Iowa.

Honey Creek had a wonderful Quilt Show Saturday and Sunday; I did no go there. But enjoyed pictures posted on face book page. Have a good week everyone.

Thanks all. I haven't made this type of quilts for a while and was tickled that I still could!
Today was sew day for QBuddy and me, but they had MD appointments, so will sew tomorrow. Just finished cutting my muslin scraps into pieces...lol as I found muslin bodice of DD's hs prom dress from the late 80's..guess it was past time to use these up! Windy day today and makes it feel cold...have a good one.

Glad the tornadoes missed your place, QNS!

My area had terrible high winds. The huge tree between our house and the neighbor's house blew down. Of course it fell in our yard instead of theirs. :-( I was just glad it didn't hit the house, though. There was no electricity in areas downtown Lansing (capitol of MI) and East Lansing, and towns around about. At work, we had the generator come on for awhile. I was glad to see on arriving home that we had electricity. Some didn't have it since 11:00am in town, and it's cold out. Brrrrr, I'm glad I have heat. So many traffic lights and street lights were not working; people were driving, coming and going as they wanted, when they wanted--dangerous driving! I turned off the highway, and drove down the street into town, and didn't even realize when I got to the curve in the road that I'd passed what I'd passed already. The businesses were all closed and dark. Without the normal lights and landmarks, it was surprisingly difficult to know where I was. The people shopping and the normal activity all absent... it was rather disorientating.

Wow. Does sound kind of like the apocalypse... It is strange to see our daily sights change so suddenly. Glad you and your property were safe.

When we had hurricane Katrina here, everything changed like that so suddenly. I could never live in a coastal town where they go through that over and over.

OH Givo! That sounds so scary! Prayers for everyone!

I have company! DB & his family came down from Springfield Missouri. I went & picked DM up & brought her here from Midland. #2DSon came this evening. DM & I will stay here tomarrow, but the rest of 'em are gonna go to the Rattlesnake Roundup in Sweetwater TX first thing in the am. It is a 2 hour drive. DB & his family will just head back to Missouri from the roundup. DH & #2 DSon will come back here. DSon will most probably go home on Sunday & I will take DM back on Mon.
