Dublb, it is good you love to mow. Our old Cadet mower keeps breaking down and having trouble keeping it running. Original battery needs to be replaced now.

The Pony Club studio cot size is hanging on the wall...all done. You can see half of it, the other half is behind the fold of the quilt. The Stack and Whack from 2006 still needs to be finished hand quilting..Corner detail of the 'Blue' S&W. Hibiscus green S&W is finished: Showing sides and border details of the S&W. Feels so good to finish top. It will be LA'd some time in the future.

Love, love, love all the flowers QNS. It has been cool here for the past couple of days, low 70's.

I am working on a new purse, as I finally wore one out. The thing about the cloth purses, they show wear after a couple of years, even though I rotate the ones I have made. Love them though!

I've also got baby size quilt blocks on my display wall, trying to decide placement. Got the sashing ready to sew on them too. I need to getting back to quilting my En Provence Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt. So much to do, so little time to work on everything.

Love the beautiful quilts and flowers, QNS! The pony club quilt is amazing! And the setting looks so western. That's a masterpiece.

Your stack and whacks are great too. My favorite is the green one.

The flowers would make me want to be outside all the time. So lovely!

Speaking of flowers, would any of you know what this is? I just notice a few trees blooming when I was in Jackson today, but I don't think I've ever seen these anywhere else. Most of the trees were purple like this bloom, but a couple had flowers that were more bluish. I have no idea what the flower is... unless my brain is just being dumb on me.

Looks like double rose of Sharon to me.

I agree with mmace71, it is Rose of Sharon...double. Very pretty. They grow as a bush, hedge, or tree.

The All Iowa Hop Shop starts tomorrow for the whole month of June. Ann Wheeler and Quilter 65 and I will go on the 7th because two of the shops pull out all stops on the seventh, (Wednesdays) and sell every bolt in their stores for $7.00 per yard. (Lucas and Humeston stores) Then again, we may drive to the shop the the longest distance from us and work our way back home. I need more thread to sew up all the fabric I have on hand. If we are lucky enough to get a second day, will probably go East and North to the Amana Colonies and their fabulous two shops.

That PC quilt is for DGS and has one of my drawings of a horse in the corner and an another one on the other side. It also has our two small girls on my Old Mare, SIL's Irish Thoroughbred Mare, DH Grandfather with his horses, my Brother's Pinto Mares, and our childhood Shetland mare with her colt, that was born 32 inches long and 17 inches tall. Memories from the past to pass on to DGS. The cowboys on the fence fabric came from Holton, KS, Quilting on the Square. Neat shop.

Starting on a throw quilt (48" x 62"), from the Quilted Windmill in Pella, Iowa. It is a Log Cabin pattern version done in blues. Nine dark and nine light 6 2/3 inch strips from selvage to selvage...plus 4 light and 4 dark pieces that are 11 inches long. I am going to see how much I cna get done before my Cousin Mary comes on the 11th of June...its for her...she is family!

Thanks for identifying the flower for me, ladies. I knew we had some flower experts here.

That pony club quilt is even more special than I realized, with all those personal photos in it! What a treasure of a gift. Hope DGS really cherishes it.

QNS, I am so envious of your big shop hop. You are going to have a blast. Love that you have friends to go on those road trips with.

QNS, Wow, lots of great pictures! Thanks. I'm impressed with all you've finished.
Yes, that sure looks like a double Rose of Sharon to me too. I have double white, and of the pinkish/lavender color that SBG photographed, I have singles. I have some single blues too. They grow like weeds. If you don't trim the branches, the flowers are good at producing seeds, they drop, and baby RofS's pop up around the parent. My husband doesn't like to prune, and he doesn't like to weed (in case the weed will develop pretty wild flowers)... so we have a crazy yard. Last year I gave away dozens of baby RofSs to people at work.

Your horse drawong on it is just way too special also! I am in the process of making a quilt for my DCousin. When it is done I hope to work on my PC some more.

Finished my summer purse today. Here is a photo. I like it! I've used this pattern before and it goes together easily. I should have cropped the strap off. I like a cross body strap.
