What a sweet little sweater that will be!

I agree, dublb...just hope I can still do it when my house needs to be redone...it's been 11 years...the paint still looks good, so why repaint especially when I still like it!

Got the binding on the plaid bordered quilt finished. Have 4 gallons of cukes soaking for pickles and a few tomatoes cooking on the stove. Going to freeze the juice and then call it night!

SBG, The eyes and nose are embroidered on second? It looks greeeaaat! Do they know if the baby is a boy or a girl?

dublb, how can there be sooooo much to paint?! It seems like you have been at it long enough to paint three houses. :-)

Ok, Another quilt finish! And good job with the produce. You are always so busy. :-)

Givio, I did the eyes and noses using duplicate stitch. Very easy. Just finished one of the fronts (it’s a cardi), so only one more to go, plus sleeves and the band. I had forgotten how quickly a little baby sweater works up. We won’t know the genders for a couple more months. DD says she would put that sweater on a boy or a girl....

givo-in the end it will be 4 houses & a building ( my sewing barn.) You are right about the 3 houses. DD rent house is the only one of those that is done. (She got her whole deposit back! ) THe thing is I have realized that I can only paint for 3 or 4 hours a day. That slows us down by quite a bit. We should get the rooms that are important to DD done by the end of next week. Then back to DM's house to paint the last rooms for her. We still have 2 bathrooms & the den to paint for her. Then we will go back to DD's & paint the stairs & put a second coat on the dinning room. Eventually we will get to my house & my building. We took all of last week off. We did get DD's guest bedroom painted yesterday. Well we need to do the ceiling touch up as the brown that we covered is all over the ceiling. We will do that next Tues. DH & I are going to Midland tomarrow. Sat is the first day for Dove hunting. I am gonna take a bunch of sewing projects to sew in the hotel room. I am doing laundry & packing up my sewing projects today.

LOL It does get complicated. DM knows which grey & white she wants, DD knows which grey & white she wants & I know which grey & white I want. LOL They are all different grey's & whites. Actually DM has 2 different greys & DD has 2 different greys! It's kinda amazing that we all wanted grey!

Did ya'll know that Labor Day is National Dove Hunting day? Well that's what my kids thought. Dove season always starts on Sept 1st. We are headed to Midland to hunt. I got 11 blocks sorted w/the fabrics that I want to make 'em with. They are all in baggies. I am gonna sew in the hotel room.
We are taking The dog w/us. We were gonna leave her W/DD but DSonIL's Dr released him to go hunting w/us. So we had to cancel a reservation at one hotel & find one that will take the dog. La Quinta is pet friendly. We will always be bringing her w/us now. Gosh that is gonna save us a lotta $.

Have fun with your family, Bev. I take it you are not a hunter... I'd rather sew in the hotel room too-- or sightsee!
