Blue Bell... can I ask you what your avatar pic is? To me it looks like an elephant, peeking out from under a table with a Christmas tree on it. That can't be right! It's always puzzled me, so I thought I'd ask.

Actually, We had an oak tree with 2 trunks cut down and it had a root above the ground which does look like an elephant's trunk. We didn't cut the tree down to ground level so my husband put wood on top which we could use as a table top, also, in the center, he added a market umbrella. The years have taken a toll on it, the base is rotting away, and the table top only has 2 boards left. Several people have inquired about my avatar.

Here are picts of the veins I quilted in the Butterfly wings.
I marked it w/washable markers & then didn't follow the lines. LOL The red & green will wash out.

Blue Bell, LOL... I got it nearly right. All but the umbrella!

Bev, the black silhouette of the butterfly looks sharp against all that color. Great quilting and the minkie back looks so cuddly and soft! I'm sure she is going to love it.

OK, here's the first of those Christmas quilts bound with the bias stripe binding. Hubby said, "It's like a candy cane!" Then he said, "That looks like it belongs under a Christmas tree". He's sweet. He even helps me with spray basting.

SBG, that does look like Christmas. Some one is going to be the proud owner of that. Love your binding of a striped fabric!

Dublb, great finish on your quilt with the butterfly.

SBG, beeeeauutiful fabrics for that Irish Chain. Yes, everyone is going to think that binding looks like candy canes!
QNS, that's a lot of progress!
I have an internet issue, so less posting than usual, in case anyone is wondering. :-)

I finished my #4DNiece's graduation quilt. It is the one I have been calling the Butterfly quilt.
