I LOVE both of these outfits. You did a great job. Your are a seamstress and a quilter.

Thank you. Actually I was a seamstress for 35 years before becoming a quilter. These days I'd much rather quilt!

Don't worry Battle Axe, the little headbands can be adjusted to fit loosely.

Yesterday was a beautiful day! 63* sunny & no wind. (It was so cold, & windy on Thurs night & Friday morning) So Mike grilled BBQ ribs & every one came over. After supper we decorated the tree. Well DM had #2DSon take her home even before the tree was assembled as a she hadn't taken a nap & was very tired. DD & family didn't leave till about 11:00.
I did work on clue 4 yesterday & a bit today. All I did was cut rectangles. Got that done. Today I choose fabrics for 8 of my 9" 9P blocks that I have been working on all year. After DH & I go Christmas shopping tomarrow I am gonna work on the quilted curtains I was making before my health & this mystery got in my way.

Have fun Christmas shopping, Bev! Today I'm going to buy ingredients and start making Christmas cookies.

Sounds like fun to me, SBG, to make Christmas cookies. What lovely little dress outfits for the grand daughters to have. A start of many in their lives, I am sure.

Taking everything one day at a time. Some days feel a lot longer than others. Love our sunshine and high 50s; nice weather for December. Challenging myself to do things is not easy some days, so I go one step at a time. Nice to be retired and not have to get up and go to work.

Yesterday was so fun. I went to the Christmas brunch of the Brownwood guild. I took a quiche. DD loaned me her crock pot as it has a lid that can be clamped down. So I cooked the quiche over night. I had never done one in a crock pot. It looked over done when I got up. Well, it was wonderful. I will do that again! The party was so nice & I had a great time. I ran some errands before I went to the Sew & Share. I worked on my Bordered Periwinkle quilt. I have all the rows sewn together. Somehow I have an extra block. I am thinking about bordering it & use it on the back to make the quilt into a Quillow.
Today DH & I went to Midland to see a Cornea specialist. He says that not only does DH have dry eye syndrome, he has some inflammation in the eye. He changed the eye drops, added an oral antibiotic, added steroid drops & added an antibiotic salve for the drops. All these meds are gonna be a lot less $ than the current drops he is taking. I am excited to think that his eyes might get better.

Hope that helps your hubby's eyes, Bev.

I would love to have your crockpot quiche recipe, if you care to share it.

I used 10 eggs & 3/4 a cup of milk. I mixed those together till they were frothy. I folded in about 2 cups of cheese & a package of real bacon bits.

    In a skillet I sauteed
some fresh spinach leaves on a low setting in a table spoon of oil. I used all I had left so I can't really till ya how much but I did wish I had more. I guess that a skillet full would be great as that spinach cooks waaaay down.
While the spinach is cooking down I chopped
1/2 of a sweet onion & took 2 slices off of the head of purple cabbage then chopped that up also. When the spinach was cooked down I added the chopped cabbage & onions. When the onions were translucent & the cabbage was cooked down I added 'em to the egg mixture.

OK here is the Crock Pot info. First DD's Crock Pot is programmable.
I greased the sides of the Crock Pot. Poured the egg mixture into it. Set it to cook for 2 hours then to stay on warm all night long. DD said that the warming feature does still cook.

It does seem to me this could be cooked in the oven at 350* for 30 to 40 minutes.

I thought I could add chopped carrots or some riced cauliflower to be sauteed w/the onions & it would be good also. I didn't have either w/me.

That sounds good, Bev. Thanks for the recipe. I think your daughter's crockpot's "cook" and "warm" settings might be like my "high" and "low" settings on my old crockpot...

Then you serve it in spoonfuls from the crockpot?

No. It was set on Low for the 2 hours. Then the warm setting is much lower. My Crock Pot has the Low & High setting & it would have been burnt if it had been on Low all night. It could be cooked for 3 or 4 hours on low. I had thought about getting up early to do it & then DD told me about her warm setting.
