We pulled out our old rotary phone when DGD was here & she couldn't figure it out either. I had mercy on her after just 1 minute. I did describe to her about party lined & about the phones where ya had to pick it up & ask the operator to connect ya.

Funny video! My mother was a Bell Telephone operator. She pulled a cord out of a device and connected the caller's line to the receiver of the call's line by plugging the cord in a hole.

I laugh at the current commercial that announces the birth of a new baby via a collect call.

I found my camera! This is what I have been up to the past couple of weeks. Annual school fundraiser this weekend.

Found my camera...mini's to share for school fundraiser

Everyone in the North and NE of our great country of the USA, stay warm this next week at zero and below temperatures. Like 32 degrees below average. Thanks to a neighbor who removed our driveway snow late last night we were able to get out today and stock up on feed for the animals and a bit for ourselves, so we are good for a few weeks, and see what February will bring. Great sewing weather, finished off another Christmas block today.

Thanks, Jeanie (and everyone else)...I really enjoyed making the little "Bind your wandering heart..." one.

It was 12 degrees when I went to work this morning...and 1 below when I came home with a little wind blowing snow around. Temps 5 below now with a low of -15. Lots of schools running 2 hours late tomorrow and some already cancelled. Diesel engines on buses don't start very well in weather this cold.

It’s been cold and rainy here, but nothing as bad as some of you are expecting. Hope you are all prepared to stay snug for a while. It’s a good feeling to have the groceries in, and firewood at the ready.

I’ve been sewing for my daughter’s baby shower next weekend. She bought several pieces of fabric and I’m sewing a variety of sizes of dresses and rompers for her shower. Quilting must wait.

Wow SBG - you are so blessed!!! How wonderful - 2 granddaughters a month apart. My first two were 8 month apart! That was almost 30 years ago! Wow, I feel old! I actually had twins (boy/girl) and another granddaughter born several weeks apart. I guess we are both blessed! I actually have 12 grandchildren in total. They range in age from 12 to 29. Joe and I have 6 kids between us (he had 4, and I had 2)!
