Lovely stack and whack, Carrie...something I've never done, but the results are always stunning.

Rain rain go away! That was a big system from north to south. Who didn't get rain yesterday and last night? Hope all's well with everyone.

Just finished a mini rectangular log cabin. Four blocks 3 x 4 using 3/4" strips. Just have to cut bamboo skewers for the hangers and it's done.

The barn scene is waiting for some hand embellishments. I have loved this quilt for a long time from Pam Geisel...notice hers is 18 x 43. Mine's about 1/3 the size as I'm using 3/4" wide pieces. Also not doing the 9P's. I just started sewing strips from my 3/4 scrap bin together based on color gradations. My column width depended upton my smallest piece length. Haven't taken pictures of either on yet.

    Stay dry!

I love your quilts, Carrie. Lots of nice color and designs.

Dublb, stay safe. May has had more storms than the norm, up through Oklahoma alleys where it did a lot of damage last night. We got rain and rain and more rain. Finally, it cleared off this afternoon. Worst news is the Missouri River is flooding again and high water has forced people to move to higher ground again.

OK, I love your pattern that you are doing. I bookmarked that site.

Carrie, I cut out my templates for the next block in the Bible Sampler. 24 pieces for a finished 6 inch block. Mega is not allowed in the QR until after I get it together. She gets very creative about re-arranging the little pieces. I plan to do a row of it, and a row on the Farmer's Wife 1930, then switch back and forth on the two quilts. Company is not coming until the 27th, so I have sometime to work on it.

    Thanks

QNS--I plan to work on FW 1930s blocks in between working on the other kaleidoscope quilt. I have papers cut but not fabrics.

My daughter wants me to make her a "Quilts for Rosie" quilt like the one I made with a group of ladies on the quilting board several years back. We are going to pick out the rest of the fabrics for that tomorrow morning. I am going to try to get her to help me since these are 12" paper pieced blocks. She hasn't tried PP'ing but I think she might like it if the pieces aren't too small.

I have to sew today. That class is tomarrow. I didn't get to sew yesterday. After church I thought I'd plant a li'le bit of grass & then I was gonna sew. The contractor called about the time I got the 3 1/2 squares planted. (I had cut a few up to fit in some of the places.) Anyway he is gonna start work today. We had to spend yesterday cleaning out the bathroom & the wall that is gonna have a door installed. Who knew that we had so much stuff in that bathroom?

Those are so much fun, OK, with the teeny tiny strips. I'd be puzzled how to quilt the barn one too.

Love your shirtings in the first one.

OK, great job! Always love log cabins and I am loving the barn quilt, too. When the LQS went out of business I bought a barn quilt. and a Bear's Paw throw quilts...they hide my totes in the guest room. Need to show photos of them.

Its rainy and cold again this morning. Dh asked me to photo his irises yesterday before the rain took them down. Of course I have many more pictures of them, but limiting myself so I can post quilts later. Bleeding hearts were my Grandmother's favorite, along with red peonies. The Irises bloom twice a year. Ordered more Asian Lilies again this year for Mother's Day. And trying to use up my stash and not buy any more fabrics...or patterns....or books...or tools. I have too many UFOs I am trying to finish! DD might have to open up a quilt shop to sell everything someday after I am gone. LOL!
