Bev - I think that course is a wonderful one for you to take. I bet you are learning so much! Is the class a full week? Are you getting any of that tropical storm rain in your area? What a mess it is making! Be careful driving to and from your classes!

Thanks Jeanie. It is so sweet of you to think of me. The tropical Storm isn't getting anywhere near the Austin area, where I am going. Tomarrow is the last day! I have learned sooooo much!

I quizzed son in NW Houston and he is fine, not affecting him. Two hours from Austin, Dublb? That is handy, I hate driving in San Antonio to Austin or Dallas-Fort Worth area, although I did volunteer to go several times. It was an eight to ten hour drive for me then. Fall is here, trees are beginning to turn colors, corn is ready to pick here. Taking a deep breathe and going one day at at time. Thankful for each day.

I am now a Certified Sewing Machine technician! OK, I need to practice a lot. I do have quite a collection so will start doing those. I do need to get several from the storage unit in Midland. OK there are a few in the Brady storage unit & quite a few here at this house that I can start on.

Good for you, Bev...congratulations! I'm sure you are aware of the Vintage Machines Section here on the QB. Lots of good info there.

Worked today, but came home early with beginnings of migraine...feeling better, but wiped out now...goodnight.

    Great health news, QNS!
Congrats on the class, Bev! It's always good to get those brain molecules bouncing with energy between the ears. :-)

Well, yesterday I worked on my Janome 2012. I spent hours & hours on my Janome. I had a real hard time opening it up. It only took about 45minutes to get it all clean, oiled & greased but then it took forever to put it back together. I had to take it back apart over & over as I would forget something. I didn't have to adjust anything on it though. I have to get faster so I took it apart again today. It only took an hour & a half today. If I had to clean it that would have gotten me closer to my 2 hour/machine goal. I plan on only working on sewing machines for only 4 hours a day.
This afternoon I sewed the binding to the front of DFGD's quilt. I also got it glued to the back. Hopefully I will get it sewn on tomarrow.
