Nice to see your projects finished, Carrie.
Dublb, I need to measure the cable and see where I can get one for the Singer treadle machine. I hope you and DD can get answers to your questions.
Givio, I remember that can of oil for sewing machines. I think the Bernina says let the dealer oil the machine, but I could be wrong, I never oil mine. I do try to clean under the needle plate every time I change the bobbin thread. I have one bobbin left before I have to fill all of them again. I hate that job! I dream of sewing more, but don't have the energy. Maybe soon.

Pretty wall hangings, Carrie!
Bev, I hope the dr. finds ways to help your daughter feel better.
Sue, hope you get your energy back up, too.
I have quilts to quilt, but my attention has been diverted to a hand embroidery project I couldn't wait any longer to start. It's a very old set of fabric transfers for state birds and flowers. They are embroidered on 9" blocks, then the blocks are set on point, alternated with solid blocks. My older sister had this quilt when we were young, made for her by her godmother, and I always loved it. Couldn't believe the transfers were still for sale when I found them over a year ago! So, I'm on bird #1, a Western Meadowlark....

Everyone is being so productive. I finally finished quilting my 2012 Easy Street Quilt. I have been waiting for the binding fabric to come in, and it arrived while we were on our RV trip this week. Yay, I can finally get this quilt completed.
Carrie - I love all your projects. I just love the pinwheel wall hanging. You did a great job with the colors - beautiful!!!
Glad your daughter saw a RA Dr. Bev. They are specialists that can probably help her a lot. I am lucky that my arthritis is Osteoarthritis. My mom had both Osteo and Rheumatoid!

Anyone sewing Halloween costumes this year? My granddaughter that I see the most wants to be a unicorn. But I'm one of the ones without energy, so her parents won't have my help with the costume job. I've not been well this year, so not productive for me... I've been struggling with sewing some blocks for the Smith Mountain Morning quilt. Two weeks left before the BH class, and a ton of more blocks to do to reach my pre-class goal! :-)

Hope you muster the energy to sew, so you can go to the class and enjoy it, Giv. How many blocks do you have to make beforehand?
I've embarked on what feels like an endless project. I'm embroidering bird and flower blocks for each state. I finished the first one and it took me two days! Well, two evenings. I really want this quilt so I started it, but it's going to take forever to make 50!
This one is the Western Meadowlark and grapes for Oregon:

SBG - I wish I had the use of my hands so I could do something like this! I know it is so relaxing! My arthritis restricts what I can do. It is the pits growing old! LOL It would be great to have something like this going on when we are on our RV trips. I do take a sewing machine, and small projects to work on though.

Now I'm onto the Delaware block, making a Blue Hen and peach blossom.
I do love hand embroidery and it is relaxing. I have to be careful at night to stop in time to get a good night;s sleep! I could go on all night, seeing what the next color will look like... I have a little arthritis in my fingers, but nothing too problematic yet. So maybe this is a good time for me to do this. Here is another embroidered block quilt I made as a big wall hanging:

SBG - How adorable is that!!! So cute surrounded by the little prints! I try to exercise my hands every day to keep them flexible. I think quilting helps too, with all the tiny pieces.

My hubby has a rubber ball, more flexible than a tennis ball but about the same size, that he squeezes while he's sitting in his chair. He also has those spring grippers for exercising hands. It's great you exercise yours!

I made an embroidered quilt too. It was a baby quilt for my youngest son, 53" square. I saved it, thinking he'd want to use it with his own kids, but, when the time came he didn't want it. I made a new baby quilt for his daughter, but I never saw them use it. They thought she preferred her fake fur giraffe blankie. The quilt got yellowed where it was folded. I never tried to wash it, just got it out to offer it, then put it away again. Maybe I should get rid of it... I drew the frog and dragonflies, but the applique water lily blocks were a purchased pattern preprinted.
