I finished getting my quilt quilted today and did a basting stitch around the outside...now it is ready for trimming and binding. Maybe tomorrow afternoon, but I am giving plasma for the first time in several months so I might need a nap in the afternoon instead...

I'm so looking forward to seeing your quilt Carrie! I bet it's beautiful!
I went to DD's house this morning & we painted primer on her stairs. Yes we are gonna paint plywood stairs. It will look better'n just the plywood. She had planned on putting caps & risers on 'em but that is just gonna have to wait. Having an extra mouth to feed & body to cloth has given them a tight budget. We will paint those stairs tomarrow morning. This afternoon I opened up an antique Elna. It is clean & ready for me to oil & grease it tomarrow afternoon.

carriem, I have three sons and seven grandchildren. :-) The roasted Brussel sprouts and carrots sound tasty! So does the squash!

QNS, glad you are on the mend. :-) If you are seam ripping, I guess that could be a pun. lol I'm making a joke! :-p

We need a picture on this thread. Who has one? :-) Must get my battery charged on my camera...

Have I shown this pict? It is the first blocks of the quilt our Guild is making for a Charity auction. Isn't it gonna be beautiful? I understand that all the blocks are sewn now & are in the process of being sewn into a top.

That is pretty, Bev. It's sort of an optical illusion. I see the diamonds and the X's, alternately jumping forward.

I haven't worked on a quilt in a while! Been busy sewing and knitting little sweaters and dresses. Those pretty Christmas dresses I sent were all too big! I mean, by a mile. They should fit perfectly next Christmas. So I have more fabric to try again for Millie. I didn't realize she was so much smaller than Ivy.

Why is it when you have a deadline (even self imposed) you can get things done sooner?? I've had this quilt top done since July 2016 (I keep a file of my completed and in progress quilts). I made time this week even though I didn't really have it...but wanted the satisfaction of having it done before I left town for a couple days. So here is my Curved Log Cabin using Kansas Troubles fabrics...on the floor and on the day bed in our living room where it will "live".

Carrie - cool quilt! Love the colors!

My goal this year was to get UFO's to the flimsy stage and quilt some of my long list of quilts that needed quilting. I do it all my self, on my Brother PQ1500s. I am proud to say I only have one tabletopper that needs a border and backing, then all of my UFO's are done. I spent a lot of time finishing up 4 tabletoppers and quilted three quilts during the year.

The first photo is one of my UFO's that I finished yesterday to flimsy stage, and anyone who was with us doing the FWS quilts will recognize the blocks. You were probably a contributor to this quilt. We labeled this PC Riders Mystery Block-Along Exchange. We did this exchange in 2012!!!! Have any of you finished your quilt??

The second quilt is also from 2012 and is finally a flimsy. It is the BOM from that year.

Nothing like being way behind! I still have 13 quilts that I need to quilt!
