Bev, you are getting so good at un-freezing those old stuck machines. I always used Liquid Wrench, which is mostly kerosene. Straight kerosene works well, too. I wonder how many old cast iron machines became boat anchors and doorstops because no one knew how to unfreeze them, LOL...

I finally figured out my photo problem. I think my laptop's hard drive is full! So I just uploaded some stuff to my hubby's computer and will go through my laptop and do a mass deleting. Probably take forever...

I do sometime read the vintage machine thread. It is so interesting. I have always been willing to open up my vintage & antique machines & get 'em cleaned & lubed. It is so good to take that class I went to so I can get deep in the modern machines & get those clean also. Learning about the timing, true tension, & oil penetrating bearings was helpful on the vintage machines. Learning how to break down a modern machine, disconnect the computers, I finally realize that they are alot like the modern machines once ya get past all of that fluff.

Thought that Friday the 13th was good to touch base with all of you. Lurking on the sidelines here, as I am working on Bonnie Hunter's Frolic Mystery, the last clue I have to finish, then put it together. Although I started with three different 'sets' of fabric, I did narrow it down to one at a time to finish. Not in a rush to do it, just one step at a time, going onward as I can and enjoying each step.

It is good to read what you all are doing, hoping all remains good for each of you. Spring is coming on early, it is said that this is the earliest Spring in a 100 years, and the weatherman is saying snow on Saturday. We will see. I will whisper, 'Show me!' from the Missouri state motto.

But very slow. I do have other things that have to do, and I have to be in a creative thinking mode to be successful at making progress. So maybe I can finish by Christmas! It is the first of Bonnie Hunter's Mysteries that I have tried to make. Ten more flying geese and I am on my way of putting it together. Wow. I figure putting together the first one, will gain experience and know how on the other two 'kits'. Some of her instructions are hard to follow for me, because its not the usual way of doing instructions of 1-3 or A through Z. You can do it this war or that way or chose your own way. Wish I had her energy; love reading her emails and seeing her on facebook.

I would be hard pressed to get one BH mystery made let along 3!

It seems that I don't get much finished these days! The UFO has been done a couple of weeks now as well as the quilting and binding on one of my sister's. Have also finished a baby quilt, a full sized quilt, a table runner and mini rabbit at work! Since then I've been dabbling with HST's and have the center of a big mini started. 1" HST's finished into 4 blocks of 100 squares. Now working with 1 1/4" finished HST's to finish into 10" squares. I have sooo many waste triangles; enough to make a pretty good sized quilt. This has been my mindless sewing project.

Meanwhile did 3 monthly presentations on color for our quilt guild...took me a while to get them organized. Now have a quilt to piece for the HS band raffle. My boss will quilt it with a music computer panto and I will finish with the binding. This is my project over the next two days.

Thanks Jeanie! The teal that I have is more blue green than it shows in the pict. Oh well, ya can see that my contrast is gonna be good.
