Jeanie, That 6" block mystery quilt is sure a nice one. I love the medallion type setting. Are you using the colors she is using?

I changed the blue to green, as I had lots of that color to use up. If you look down the side you can see all I have completed so far. I am on Step 9 out of 15. My display wall is not wide enough so I have the middle ones pinned together. I did not have any 1/2 yard bundles, so I used a fat quarter bundle, then added fabrics from my stash.

JeanieG, sending you a PM question, I think I am a befuddled blonde, hoping you can help me. Love your mystery quilt blocks, still struggling with BH Frolic borders. Not made any masks although son called Easter Sunday and ask if I were making them, and I said 'no'. The two patterns I downloaded were 17 pages and 8 pages long. Daughter called too. Both were concerned about our trip to DM to our skin cancer doctor, so we canceled it Monday, not going up today. It will wait. Not sure how much the 'masks' help, and if they lift the 'stay at home' rule May 1st, will they be required? I have problems to catch my breath sometimes and so does DH. We stay at home normally, only going out every other week for groceries, prescribed medicinal needs and chicken feed. I always make up a grocery list, the first of the month for all month supply of staples like TP, so that did not sent me back for more in the month. We tend to schedule our trips carefully, its a 40 to 55 miles around trip. And there's always food on hand to defrost or open a jar of canned goods. No Quilt fabric shopping this year, I have a stash that will take me 3 lifetimes to use up. Stay safe everyone.

Hi NinaSue...good to hear that you are staying safe. Like you I'm used to making lists and can get my RX for 3 months. MrOK cancelled his check up for next week..staff gladly allowed him so will wait til the fall.
Kids home until May 1st for sure and are developing a routine. Two of them alternate milking duties in the morning and two in the evening. All do calf care. DiL still goes to work as she does lab work in a dry food processing plant..essential job.
We had a lovely Easter dinner up there.made pies for dessert. Still making bread and butter about every 3days. Just finished a flimsy UFO and ready to start on another. I have a few more masks to make and send out...
    Stay safe all

I have the "I don't wanna's." I don't wanna do any thing. I don't wanna sew, I don't wanna do yard work. I don't wanna do anything. I have had a few people ask me to make masks for 'em. So I spent yesterday pulling fabrics for that.

Bev - you are in a slump!!! Maybe making the masks will pull you out of it! Here is the pattern I used, which is different from the pleated one. It is so simple and uses less fabric. It fits the face so well, and comes in three different sizes. https://www.craftpassion.com/face-mask-sewing-pattern/

I have been having trouble printing out patterns recently. I do like that pattern. I'll see what I can do but I bet it won't work. My computer & my laptop don't get along these days.
I think my slump has to do w/the meds I am taking. I usually quit taking Musinex & Singular in mid April but I'm not gonna do that for a bit w/this virus going around. I need my head & lungs to be in good shape during this virus scare.

I worked on 5 masks yesterday & they are 3/4's of the way done.

Don't you hate it when you misread instructions??? Went to sew together 25 Stars for the Frolic and the outer four-piece squares were wrong because of the half square triangles had gotten twisted wrong 94/100 of them. So yesterday afternoon and today has corrected all of them. Love the fabric I used, so I am hanging in there. One step at a time, in a snail pace of movement and it progresses a little each week Got some new books that are distracting me, mmmm. Cannot decide if that is a good thing or bad. Will garden with dh after it dries up after tomorrow's rain. Flowers are a 'bloomin' on the homestead. Its a good place relax and enjoy the summer, cooking, reading and quilting. Summer is on its way. Stay safe. Iowa is in the upper ten, so looks like they can move forward into the three stages back to normal, it will be announced in early May. I hope so, I'd love to go on the all Iowa Quilt Shop Hop in June.
