Sue, it sounds like ya had a great time! I too went ta my LQS taday & bought just a couple o' panels. Then DH took me ta Hunan Gardens for lunch (he used his allowance. ) A small Chinese restaurant. They have a great buffet but are never crowded. When we got there we were the only ones there. We had a very nice quiet lunch. We then bought some pottin' soil so as ta plant some tomatoes in pots. O' course I picked up my DGN from school & we read.

Thanks, JeanieG. I have yet to discover the vagabond star. Shared the Magazine Mary Jane with DH who did read the Sprout article in it.

Thanks , Dublb. And it is nice to hear your progress with DGS in reading. Wish many a child I tried to get to read had you as a Grandmother. If they can read, they can be in any work force they want to be in life.

Making the rest of the half triangle squares for the Stars Crossed. then finish the border on the California Gold Poppy quilt....and on to finishing other borders on three quilts. Have a good sew sew day.

Well, OK, I hope you're feeling better. This is the first day since Tuesday that I've been upright for longer than an hour. Spent the last 3 days sleeping and running to the bathroom with a stomach bug-UGH!!

No sewing til late yesterday but I think I'm going to spend this morning ripping out what I did. I was so tired that if I made a mistake I thought "Oh well, that's good enough" but it's definitely not. I thought I'd have my QOTS mini block quilt done and I need to finish my Pirates banner for my door (opening day is April 6!!).

Happy first day of Spring!!!! As I watch the snow come down!!!! Mother Nature has such a sense of humor-not! It started a freezing rain, salt truck just went by, now it's big flakes sticking on the grass. Shouldn't last--it's supposed to be 50* tomorrow.

Have a good one ladies and hope no one else gets this darn bug.

Sorry Ok and JanRN that the darn flu bug hit both of you. At least, it sounds like you are on mend now, with your messages on QB here.

Its is good to read your latest, too, Honchey. I have tried to goggle Vagabond Star with no luck. Sigh.

Lots of new fabric in QR so better spend major time in there today and make some progress. Squaring up HST for the stars in star crossed, then can put it all together and finish the borders on CA gold. Have a good one today.

JeanieG made that banana bread recipe again yesterday and it was very good again.

Gosh I have been very busy. Day before yesterday (cause it's tamarrow already) I took a class at my LQS ta make the cutest li'le coin purse on my embroidery machine. It was done all in the hoop! The embroidery machine also made the mesh that is on the outside. Gosh it was so very cute! Then while I was there the teacher & I discussed me teachin a class for a doll quilt that I made. Well the top was done. As the embroidery class was such a short class I had extra time so I came home & quilted it. It now needs ta be bound. They will have it hung up for about 6 weeks & I'll teach the class in May.
Taday I had the fabric for the bindin' in the washer so I played w/some blocks that I am doin' w/the grid method. It took me most o' what li'le spare time I had ta play w/those. I'll bind the DQ tamarrow.
I went ta bed & went right ta sleep but woke a bit ago. Gosh I hate it when I do that. I had some WOW fabric that I was soakin' in coffee ta stain it. So I heat set it by ironin' it. I'll wash it tamarrow. Well that is if #2DSon isn't usin' the washer. He does his laundry on the weekends.

What fun you had, Bev, but you should be tired--the time stamp on your post says 3:30am--what in the world? I've had that happen--you fall asleep and wake up wide awake only a few hours later. I do what you did--get up and do something (altho I probably wouldn't iron--would iron my fingers LOL). Take it easy today. How fun it will be to teach your class. Can you post a pic of your doll quilt?

Today is our 45th wedding anniversary--wow, and they said it wouldn't last LOL. No celebrating, in fact MrJanRn and son are going to an all-day Golf Expo (I guess that's a guy's equivalent to our Quilting Expo). I'll have the house to myself so I can get caught up on all I didn't get done this past week. Just thought of something--if I've been married 45 years, my ironing board is 45 years old! Do people still get ironing boards as wedding gifts?
