Nothing like having great excuses not to clean, but the no sew situation would have me going bonkers....and after a while sewing just bindings would get boring...So when are you going to start making a New York Beauty, Jan? Like your Steelers quilt, too and so should your customer..

Yesterday QBuddy and I drove over the river and through the woods taking a cross country route over county roads to a small town...maybe 200 people.. having a quilt show...they were raising money for their library. A beautiful drive through the hills and valleys. Just enough quilts not to get overwhelmed with all the looking. A favorite was a small quilt made in 5x7 4" block setting and 1" savings. Both of us had a aqua brown print that was used. Looking closer I'm pretty sure they were downsized FWS blocks. Last night pulled fabrics to get a similar quilt together while it's still fresh in my mind....it's going to be our sew day project.. we came across an antique shop in the country with lots of primitives I found a cute little toy ironing board about 15" for $5. Will make a cute back drop for my minis.

Another beautiful fall day to enjoy...have a good one

We are going on a trip for a couple of weeks, so I will AOL! Just wanted to let you guys know!

Jan, love your quilt! Remodeling is a pain, but the results will certainly be worth it!

Jan, I just love your Steelers Quilt. I am going crazy not getting enough sewing time either.

We drove to Brady yesterday unloaded a bunches of boxes & drove back today. Gosh, that was a fast trip!

...All the moving and disruptions going on! Hope you all find some peaceful moments. :-)
I made applesauce and canned it and glad to have that done.
The weather was beautiful today; sat outside and enjoyed it.

Home coming over, friends meet, friendship renewed, and good-byes were said. All the women are still beautiful, with inner beauty showing up stronger than ever. The guys are all gentlemen like they always were in High School. Many of the classmates have died, it was a sad moment in time as we remembered them. God willing, we will meet again in five years. And have another BBQ, at their request.

Now to finish the house cleaning, clear my QR enough to work in this week, hopefully, sooner rather than later. Looking forward to 'eye' candy tomorrow on the new FW 1930 blocks.

What a wonderful weekend for you, QNS...and another one in the planning stages...and yes reality sets in when friends lives are shortened early and one realizes how vulnerable and precious our time is.

Today must search for my camera battery charger...tonight is guild and my battery is dead...

Sun is rising over the hill and through the trees, another beautiful day in store...Going to check the tomato patch again...lots of nice green ones still out there and enough red ones for us to enjoy in salads every day. Have a good one...now to get coffee brewing.

Well I had a super busy weekend, but got caught up on my blocks and even a bit ahead. I have them done for tomorrow and the following week. Although, Carrie is going to get a makeover at some point. I might attempt to do another makeover for bride this week as well.

Trained a lot of dogs this weekend and had a ton of fun. It's nice to see some of the tough cases making progress.

I will your blocks, Rosy, because I enjoy all the 'eye' candy that I can see on this journey. I am sure you will delight us soon with more blocks.

Good luck to all who are moving; sounds like its an organized move where mine never were in spire of good intentions.

Doctor agreed to lower my medicine dosage so I am a happy camper. BP is down to lower teens and twenties....and I can get up and fix dh's breakfast for him...and he does appreciate that greatly.
