No help yet. temps dropped below the 30s ao its long john time. Dh says our GMC with 4x4 wheel drive will get us to town tomorrow. Will see.

Good luck on your trip to Brady, Dublb.

Missouri and Arkansas has had from eight to twelve inches os rain, causing floods in low places...worse than in 1973. If the area floods, people need to know before moving into that area... turn those areas into wild life refuges and native grass plains. Or parks. No one should move into a flood plain. Just my two cents worth on the subject.

Take care, Honchey, it sounds like more storm headed your way.

In the Farmers Wife Blog in email, Laura Aaron Hird announces her fourth book coming out shortly. Not another FW book but about the Bible...Did anyone else get the message?

Maybe she will use the same format and make a CD again. I think she did a good job on this book and the CD. I like it much better than the Pony Club book's format.

Good morning and Happy New Year to all my friends. I've just caught up on the posts; I "lost" another week to vertigo. Of course, my PCP's office was closed all week so I'll call Monday and hope to get an appt. Hope yinz have survived this crazy weather--woke up to snow on the ground this morning for the first time this season. Does this mean lots of heavy snows to make up for none???? NO!! (I think I've mentioned how much I hate snow LOL).

Has anyone started a list of wanna do projects for this coming year? Every year I say I'm going to do a New York Beauty--hopefully this will be the year! (Altho right now all I'd like to do is sew a straight seam which is impossible with vertigo).

I wish you peace & joy for the coming year and lots more visits here in the virtual RV.

Happy New Year....the house is quiet and I'm working on EOY books this week...was great having DD and family here. I came home from work on Tuesday and everything was neat and tidy...we've been fixing meals for 13 so lots of food and dirty dishes...MrOK and I have been reaping the benefits as we finish the leftovers..think I have 2 meals to bank on...so I can work on numbers to my heart's content...actually making sure I have all the items in the proper accounts and my accounts balance..

Wonder what size Laurie's blocks will be this time?

I have a lot of UFO'S to finish and I want to work on my minis...kids liked their Christmas quilts hanging from the tree...sure looks bare now...

Need to have a bit of breakfast then head to the office....catch you later....

Happy New Year to all! I was excited to see the message about Laurie's new book....guess I need to get busy working on the 1930s one!! Good thing I don't need all the blocks for the quilt I am making.

My trip to Nolting this week was fun. Got to test drive a couple machines and and see how they are put together. My plan is to start with a Voyager 17/Hinterberg stretch frame w/stitch regulator set up they offer (they bought Hinterberg a few years back and all their inventory if I understood correctly). Eventually I would love to own a Nolting, but for now this will be a good starter machine. We are close to paying off braces for our 3rd child (last one) and then I can start really saving for the a new (to me) machine...it might take a couple years, but starting with this set up helps me have one a lot sooner than I ever thought I could.

This year I have plans to finish my "50 Fabulous Stars" quilts...I started the last block last night. I also want to get back to the FW 1930s blocks and a couple other UFOs....I am going to make a list today to see exactly what I have started. I will need to make a quilt for my nephew later in the year since he will be 5 in 2017...I am making all my nieces/nephews quilts around their 5th birthdays.

Happy New Year everyone. DH and I are nursing colds, so had an early night last night. I'm working on my Bonnie Hunter Mystery Allietore, which she revealed night before last. Also still plugging along with my 30's quilt. I finished a few more blocks that I need to post on the correct threads, but am not caught up yet on that either.

The news is all about the awful flooding in the Missouri area. We are finally expected to get some rain soon. Yeah, we really need it! We had a fire a little North of us, so rain on top of that will make for a messy freeway, I am afraid! With no ground cover on those hills, there will be landslides and flooding on the freeway going north. If that happens, it may stop all traffic going North on 101, a major freeway along the coast.
