I took DSis to have her li'le spot taken off of her forehead. I was shocked at how much they had to take! At first it was as big as a dime but the first biopsy came back w/ bad margins so they had to take more out. It then got as big as a quarter! I was so relieved when they said that that biopsy was clear! It took 'em forever to close it up. Alright, not really forever, just an hour & a half. She needed to have a place on her nose biopsied also, but decided to do that next week when she has the stitches removed. She & I both took long naps when we came home. As tired as I was I know she was so much worse!

Yes, Dublb, it does knock a person down for a bit. My nose did on the one side... I slept a bit in the car coming back that day... I remember how it knocked me off my feet for awhile. Not an experience I want to repeat for awhile.

I did enjoy last Wednesday, although the experience was a lot to take 'in' in one day. Had to take a day to rest. My distant kinfolk are wanting more genealogy help, so other than the FW, I think I am going back to spend some time on genealogy and house cleaning. This house has to get 'straightened' up before March 24th when we hold an open house for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Unknown factor on who will come, if anyone. But we two are celebrating that once in a lifetime experience. That I am sure of. If the children come home, if any relative or friend shows up to celebrate with us, that is a bonus. One day at a time....one hour at a time... it too shall pass.

Dh is feeling better. That is the good news of the day. JanRN, you have been very quiet since you seen the Dr last Tuesday.... remember we are here for you, too. Have a good day everyone.

    Oh my Nina, 50 yrs..Wow!

Bev, you've been very busy these last couple of weeks. Take time for you!

I'm sure Jan is snuggled in the Bat Cave..She's worried about her DS comiing home from Europe to this horrible weather..

The sun is shining right now but not for long..Just one last trip to the grocers then I'm tucked in for the duration of the storm..We're right in the middle of it....The wind will be a big factor..don't want to lose electric...

Ok, love , love, love your minis's... I have lots of bits & pieces and it takes me forever to clean up the scraps from their fuzzy threads..I have threads all over the place...

Have a good day all of you! H.

I can't see my front steps...When it snows it's very bright in the house at night and if I wake up for a nature call I can't get back to sleep..I went to bed at 10 last night and woke up at 3:30 and it's now 6 am and I'm tired...the snow plows have been by several times .. we're destined to get 18-24 " before it's all said & done..who knows maybe more..We are considered to be in the I-95 corridor..

I want to make some Ranger cookies today...I bought golden raisins yesterday and can't believe how $$ they are.
I have every kind of bread they make & 2 gallons of milk...don't laugh...every time I came home from the store yesterday I purchased something I thought I forgot...It's a good thing..DS came by last night to "pick" up some supplies for the weekend.. He works for the Postal Service and won't be able to go in to work today...We are in a state of emergency...
I guess I'll be doing some sewing today amongst some other things...Making Pasta fazoli today for dinner..I make it with sausage...see y'all late..I'm rambling so it's time to leave..

Sit tight, Honchey, this to shall pass. I'd rather have alll that snow as to have sleet and ice. A bonus day for you and your dh to have a 'date' day inside or just sit back and relax and sew forth. This day will not come again, so enjoy every minute doing your thing you want too do. Your DS is smart and knows where he can get 'supplies' for the weekend home bound situation.

I could not breathe, so I was up at six thirty. I can worry about things awake and in my sleep, too, I think. Maybe solutions will be clearer today than yesterday; there is Hope. A hot cup of tea to start off the day and see what it brings. May it be a good one for you.

My son was able to rebook his flight from Germany from DC (which is closed) to Chicago. After many hours of delays he made it home late last night, thank God. Only a few gray hairs this time for momma so I'll save the hair dye for the next episode.

Glad to hear from you Anne. I couldn't sleep last night either so I watched the Weather Channel all night--wow you are getting slammed. We have a total of 1 inch of snow! My sister lives 25 miles south of me and they have 8" and my friend lives in California, PA and has over 20 inches. What a weird and interesting storm system (for a weather junkie like me). Glad you're stocked up (altho you didn't mention wine LOL). MrJan was a little disappointed in the lack of snow--he has a snow blower and wants to use it. LOL men and their toys!

Ladies, please stay safe and warm, Spring training starts in 4 weeks so there is hope. Do something for yourself today.

Looks like a sunny day here..called DSis in WVa. They were stocking up too..her DS had a fender bender in DC the night before..NC crew got sleet and snow....timing of precipitation made all the difference...it wasn't rain/freezing rain creating power outages. They are housebound with 3 little ones wondering why they wanted to become parents!.....

Maybe a nap is in your schedule today, Honchey....

Glad world traveler has made it home, Jan..

Spending the day in the office yet again..

Hope everyone has had a safe day.

I did cut out Iris for FW today; happy with it. Will cut the two for next Tuesday tomorrow. Have cut out two Shack n Whack quilts...almost all of the pieces...sit aside fabric to do the floral Triple Irish Chain, a Christmas quilt. When I am not busy with other things, I will work on them. Found an Amish Lady who hand quilts, so will take a couple to her to finish up for me in the new month. Garage doors on one side was fixed today, other door will be fixed next Saturday.

I fixed breakfast, lunch and supper today. Have a happy dh tonight. Chicken for lunch tomorrow, Waffles for breakfast; supper is left overs or fix it ourselves. Love to sit back and relax on sundays. May it be a good, safe one for you and your families.

We are SNOWED in!!! DH can hardly walk in it..it is so heavy & dense..We are at the mercy of the young man who will eventually clear out the driveway which might be several days down the road.... We watched movies all day yesterday...didn't cook, had leftovers instead...Maybe I'll clean out the fridge today....

Was wondering how you were faring, Anne..did you buy enough perishables to get you through?

DSis got 40+"..after a while the height markers are completely covered...her DH was organizing the spices...he's a voracious reader...I would've thought that he'd just keep reading...lol
