Ggal--I explained how I do my QAYG on the Rosie thread (look on the page before my final quilt picture for the description and then the same page as for the step by step pics added later to help explain it better). I do the QAYG by the row and then do SITD around the parts of the block that I wanted stitching on....you can kind of see it on these pictures around the yellow fabric. I do the SITD before adding each row so I don't have as much quilt to roll/handle/turn when quilting...hope this makes sense. If not, feel free to ask and I can try to explain something better!

    I'm baaacckkkkkk
Computer is all fixed, only took a day. Busy at my patchwork club today and have been busy at home all afternoon.

Would love to send some flannel to you Anael, I have quite a lot in my cupboard (bolts of it) I make small quilts for mothers who have still births and they wrap the babies in what we call Blankets of Love. They are only 28 inches squares. But if it is easier for me to send $$$ to Carriem and you recieve one parcel that is also fine. Please let me know.

QNS thank goodness your chockie cake is only in the virtual RV and OMG those cinnamon rolls, I can feel myself gaining weight already, and it has nothing to do with the Strawberry Cheesecake I had for morning tea

Must dash, hungry mouths to feed and all that.

Will try and get back on the computer tonight if DH doesn't hog it otherwise it will be tomorrow evening.

Bev, thanks for the information on flannel and fleece. I will remember that!

QNS, I don't know about other needs yet. They're not allowed to wear anything now, they have to gain weight first before they can wear their smock. My DS and DDIL are going to take the cuddler with them tomorrow to show it to the nurses. If they're going to use it I will have to make some more. The only other idea I can come up with are sheets. The ones I made are made from white flannel with embroidery but I need to make more. The sheets are small, 20" square.

About twin matching things: my DDIL doesn't like that! Thanks for the reminder of shrinkage, I totally forgot!

Welcome back mirabelle! We posted at the same time!
I let you decide what you want to do. The sheets I made are 20" square, just a bit smaller than your Blankets of Love.
I told my DDIL and DS what you're all up to and they want to thank you from the bottom of their heart. They told me quite a few times it's wonderful you 'surrogate grandma's' are doing that for Bram and Isa without even knowing one of my family.
BTW, I asked my DDIL permission to post the pic with her, my DS and Bram in it. I didn't want to post it without them knowing they're on this board! My DDIL thought it's weird people from all over the world looking at her

Carriem I will send a parcel from Australia, I hope that is okay with everybody.

Carriem your quilt is beautiful, such a lot of work, I am sure you are proud of it.

Anael can you e-mail me your snail mail address and I will post parcel on Monday. I forgot to tell you that the photo of your DS and DDIL and Bram is beautiful. Bram and Isa look so peaceful, I hope they are gaining weight and growing stronger.

why oh WHY does QuiltE bring out my wicked side???

QuiltE, the dressmaker form did have ALOT of curves on the stand, the pincushion was simpler and a small piece. I think February is the scissors!
YUP, I have also tried the Elmers glue, it saves hands from being stabbed by pins

NO I havent been in any trouble the last few days... whatever it was... I didnt do it!!!

DD, I don't know yet. My DDIL will take the snuggle with her tomorrow and ask.
They both are still wrapped in plastic sheets to keep them warm.

My DS just called, they're back from the hospital. Isa might have pneumonia, she's put on 3 different antibiotics. Bram is doing ok.
I didn't go with them this week as I didn't feel well but I will go tomorrow, if I'm allowed that is. Tomorrow my DS and DDIL will have a meeting with the neonatologist again.
