Let us just say I have hit the 'pause' button on FW for now. Busy working with dh on the homestead. Yesterday it was red cherries and strawberries. Today its yellow cherries and peas to do. Weather is to hit 90 today an 96 tomorrow. No rain here, so the ground is cracking open.

Have a good day and a good week, everyone.

Hello everyone. I haven't abandoned all of you great girls. I am taking extra care of hubby right now. He had an diabetic ulcer appear on one of his legs. This happened several years ago, and caused him to go into the hospital and almost died. He has severe type 2 diabetes, and the skin on his shins are dark and paper thin. He went to the clinic and got it wound treated and wrapped. He has cellulitis. He also had been denied an important diabetic drug he needed and had been on a few years ago then it was denied. Soooo, he finds out it was an error at the clinic of sending in the wrong diagnosis number and had him down as diabetes 1. We are waiting for a hopeful approval now.

As for me, the best way I can explain my life, though I love each day, is that with my lupus and sjogrens etc. that my cells die off fast, and my bodies energy runs out extremely fast. I can be sewing or trying to make a sandwich and after it may put me in bed. Now mentally I am ready to run races, but my body says are you kidding. lol... It's just something the good Lord gave me as my cross to bare so I surely am not complaining. I find each day with it's special moments of simple happiness. I have got to add some of my blocks into my notebook. I am lagging on that.

I am working on printing out some nice pictures of dad's family to put in a special album for dad for Father's Day, and also have a flag wall hanging to hang on his door in the nursing home. Me and my sister and a few others that can be there will be taking some food, and have some fun time with dad.

I will post some pictures of blocks when I get some more done, and anything else.

    Have a great week!

    Love you all.

JuneBillie, your plate is full. Not only do you have your own health concerns, but your hubby to help, too. My prayers are with you for strength and patience. I am glad you did not leave us as you thought to do earlier. We are here to sound off to, and to pray for you. We all need each other's support. Hope you have a wonderful time with your dad on Father's Day, and that it is one of your 'good' days, healthwise.

I was too tired last night to type anything here. Worked up a whole cart of pea vines, picking the pods off in the cool kitchen instead of picking them out in the heat. Then had yellow cherries to pit. When dh got back from his dr's appointment, he helped too. It was after seven pm before we finished. My fingers and hands are so sore, I am taking the day off from any freezing or canning work today. Might make a pie later after we clean house. Sticky floors, etc., that comes with jobs like we did yesterday. It is going to be a very HOT day here today...96 to hundred!

So glad we have a good cooling system and can stay inside for most of the day. Counting my blessings, and enjoying a new day today. May all of you be able to do the same.

Just an update on DH, has finished all cancer treatments, he gets so tired and said no more. He wants to be able to not be sick all the time. In the hospital since Sat with pnemonia hope to come home in a couple days. We will have to postpone our anniversery until later, we will be married 60 years today, so maybe do something later. It seems like we have been living at hospitals since 2012. Thank you for all the prayers and hope everyone has a great day.

Nina, nature's bounty is a lot of work! Hope you can rest today and enjoy the work being done. You must grow cherries? I miss the big garden we used to have when the kids were young, and all the canning, etc. that came with it. We ate well!

GrannyQ, haven't met you yet but happy anniversary today! I hope you and your hubby can both get well and do something to celebrate. That is quite a wonderful milestone.
