I like that idea mirabelle. We do that on another board too. It's about small goals and it works great for finishing up some things.

Bram was exhausted and slept all night. Isa wasn't doing that well for the first time in days. She needed more oxigen and settled down after that.

MiraB ... I could go for that!! We could call it something simple like "hree Things"... and they may be as simple as sew a seam ....... through to finish a quilt .... or in my case the # PC blocks I want done for the week. And if we need more accountability, we could post our "Just for Today I Will ..." list of what we are going to accomplish on a particular day. We did this on another board (non-sewing board) and the accountability in writing it out for others to know about, sure helped many of use get things done!

Not including .......... a surprise coming with our BBs!

Anael ... No shame in Isa needing more oxygen to settle! The important thing is that it did the job and she did settle.

Mirabelle....frankly I like you in your big girl pants! I had a similar thought but just couldn't find mine I guess. Part of it is that I really like to start new things and get bogged down with the quilting and finishing as I don't enjoy it as much and I put it off. It would feel really good to get caught up, plus in my tiny room, I would have more space. Yesterday I finally got my PC all sewn together and the borders cut. My design wall was empty after weeks of PC so instead of keeping at the PC and putting the borders together, I dug out a UFO just to have something to look at besides a blank wall. The borders are calling today. Have to cut the batting for them.

Anael...so happy the little ones are responding to their care. I love how you're easing your stress a little by sewing for them. Those things will be treasured by the entire family for a long time. I hope you are getting some good rest.

Honchey...glad you're back home with more regular Internet. I love hearing from you.

Jan...you sound like you're having fun with Pam Bono. Post pics when you can...please.

The storm coming east will just barely brush by us. We could really use the snow since we still are short on moisture. Today it's supposed to get up to 50! Such a seesaw ride with weather this winter.

BB...another UFO! But I am really curious to see what you all have made. Just a note, I don't prewash my fabrics and I do use glue. OK...thanks for planning ahead and scanning in the BBs so you can show them to us as soon as Carrie gets them in the mail.

I was thinking waiting a couple months before staring another project wouldn't be a bad idea, but then at the same time kept thinking if it is just one block a month I can handle that, so whatever the group decides is good for me.

Something we might consider for our "accountability group" would be maybe setting up a yahoo group or something more private than the boards? It isn't hard to do but everyone would have to set up an account there so don't know if that is something we want to do or not. The quilting boards are great so don't get me wrong there!! Just a thought I had.

I did print out compass blocks to start measuring last night...lots of pieces so it will take a while!! Good project to work on while kids are at archery practice tonight.

Today is school, housework and then to the clubhouse...PC quilt and retreat gifts.

First off Ladies...don't get all hepped up about the little surprise...just a little something from me to you...

Mirabelle, I think that's a good idea..the only catch is that with the "board" we wouldn't be able to be have something like that exclusively...we would have to open it for any and all...The only way to do what you suggested is to keep it just as it is right now...in this thread....we do get an occasional response from others on the board and there's no problem with that.. There are other threads on the QB that are similar to what you suggested...This thread is like our own little world...the others have left us all to ourselves and we do the projects we want to...together.

I do like the idea of taking a break to finish off or just to do whatever we want to do without the pressure of meeting a deadline...We did do that between the FWS Sampler and the FWS Pony Club....When we do decide the next project I would suggest a new thread so that others may join and you know what will happen..we start with 50 and end up with 13-15...that's ok...we don't want to exclude anyone... What do all of you think???? I will do whatever all of you decide on..H.
Now the waiting for the BBlocks...I also had another great idea for my bonus block but I just couldn't get it together in time.. It was too entailed....I just might do it anyway...it really is a great idea but I'm not going to tell!

I like our own little world for where we are now ... and yes, it's kind of fun when someone stops by to chat a little or compliment us on what we are up to. For sure, if we start a new major project, then a new series of threads according to the project.

And remember ... we all have a new UFO to conquer with our BBs soon to be sent to us via USPS!

I'm going to challenge everyone to do something "new" in assembling their BBs. For me, it will be QAYG in some form. Other than just some experimental trials, I have not done anything significant that's a keeper.

Maybe? we'd do some sort of another swap? or perhaps stretch out to a RR among ourselves? All things we can talk about as we are in the virtual RV, having our sit and sews, to finish our PhDs!!! *gasp* us talk?

Enjoying your company? ............... stop by when you can stay longer!!

    I see you came back!
Good idea on the finish up thread ... might nudge some of the others to finish them off too!
........... including this cowgirl who knew she should not have sewn last night and then totally botched up Minnesota. When you are PPing and joining final sections together with micro-mini stitching, it does not come out easily! So I quit and did go to bed!!! ......... I think it will go into the box that will never be opened (thanks JanRN!) and easier to make a new one from the start!
