Ohhhhhhhhhh mirabelle, how gorgeous! Those butterflies are embroidered? When I see what you're accomplishing it makes me feel very lazy

Have a great day today, hope you enjoyed your cappuccino and cheesecake

I received the monthly newsletter from Jinny Beyer but I can't find the pattern for Solstice block 2. Do I miss something? According to the website it should be in the newsletter.

    Thank you Anael.
I did receive Jinny's newsletter but there wasn't anything in there for Solstice, I may e-mail her and find out when the next block is going to be available.
Hope you are enjoying the eye candy

This is how my FWS is going to be. What do you think? I like the idea of the blocks floating on the background but maybe it's too light/white? Please be honest!

Good morning, Anael (or is it evening for you?) Happy birthday, babies!!!
I would never have thought of floating the FWS blocks in white but I really, really like it. There's a nice softness about it but the blocks still stand on their own. Great colors in your blocks, too. Thanks for posting this--it gives me something to think about besides black/dark blue that I always use. Can't wait to see it all together.

I found Jinney's pattern for this month. Towards the bottom of the news letter there is a line " click here for all of the material that has been released so far " and it opens to the setting block and months one and two. I like the new color ways she has available. The other was so dark. Still resisting this one but it is a beautiful one to dream about.
    SEWGRANDS.....happy birthday. Such good news.
Mirabelle....your butterflies are so beautiful. Does your embrodiery machine have to be watched all of the time? Can you do other sewing while it works? You amaze me with the volume of work you produce.
Anael....I would never have thought if using white like you have but I really like the affect. The blocks do float! Very nice. I still have some PC blocks to make into a quilt and I might consider the same thing.
good morning Jan. We must have been typing at the same time. We have a beautiful, cold sunshiny day here. How's your weather?

Its happy anniversary wishes to GGal.

Happy Birtihday to the sew twins. Anael, beautiful background of white, and you do make it work right.

    Mirabelle, beautiful butterfly quilt.

    QuiltE, no muslin yet?

Yes, I think its that bid defender making me sign in each time. Will ask daughter how to rid myself of it, and install something else. It shall not stop me from getting on QB!!

Well we got home a little after 11 last night and the kids are still sleeping...too bad I can't sleep in. DH did make me breakfast though. Maybe I'll take a nap this afternoon. DS didn't qualify individually for Nationals, but the teams (Middle School and High School) did, so we might be going to KY in May if enough of the kids can go. DS placed 5th in All-State. Both girls shot their highest scores of the year and were very happy about that. DS's score was about average.

Jeanie--we have lots of fusions at the quilt shop where I work. If you have a selvage with color # of the blue, I would be happy to check if we have the one you need when I go to town tomorrow.

Mirabelle--Your butterflies turned out beautiful! Hope you have a very nice day with DH.

Dublb--how is your packing going for the retreat? What are you taking to work on? I am taking a quilt that everything is cut for. It is an easy pattern so I am hoping to get all the blocks together and maybe even the "piano key" border done...we'll see how productive I can be. My prep this week is more getting stuff ready for the organization for the others coming to the retreat.
Anael--I think your blocks "floating" in white will look really nice. Great news about the twins.

QE--congrats again on all your blocks....they look really good.

Ggal--Happy Anniversary...hope you have a very nice day with DH too!
