Mick looks like he has gone 'Hollywood', the movie actor-that-does-not-too-be-recognized!

Yep, GG, we did celebrate yesterday, and the honeymoon was over today riding in the same auto with him to K. and back again...took two strong pain relief pills for my bad headache. The hatchery delayed the shipment of the baby ducks until tomorrow, but failed to inform the farm and home store, so we waited and hour and a half for birds that were not coming today...and he had to vent to me. My head is spinning. If they call tomorrow, I am going down by myself in peace and quiet.

Time to retreat to the quilt room. Carrie, that is an interesting pattern, for fabric and pattern $129. that is not too bad as I have spent up to $300 for fabric alone with out a pattern for a quilt. OK, I plan on going to the PO on Monday; the six by six box will be mailed then, along with other parcels that need posting. After the Doctor's appointment.

Yes he does QNS, that's because he's famous in the US and Australia like his little brother and sister

Oh my carrie, I've seen that pattern before and I just LOVE it. I don't have the magazine and didn't have the courage to try and draw it myself in EQ5. I leave that to more experienced pardners

Carriem the block I used for the BB's was Rhoda's Block from 40 Bright and Bold Paper Pieced Blocks by Carol Doak. I just resized it to 8inches

Anael DH uses beef mince and pork mince for his spaghetti sauce, browns them with onion and garlic, adds mushrooms, adds beef stock, a couple of cups and port instead of red wine maybe half a cup and allows that to cook down for about an hour, then he adds Passata which is an Italian tomato based sauce, you could add tinned tomatoes or store bought pasta sauce. Fresh herbs, parsley and oregano and he is done. There are no quantities he does it....Makes a lot of sauce so I do freeze a lot of it.

    Time for some sewing time...

Honchey--have a great time with family tonight. If you have the magazine that would be great! How are you feeling after having to talk more to company?

OK--we have enjoyed the warmer weather too. Things are drying out in most of the yard. We've had the door open but not a lot of windows yet...

Ggal--isn't it nice to have a motivator? I am sure you will get the top done in time to earn a free backing. I finish things faster when I have a "due by" time otherwise it is too easy to put on thing aside to start another.

Anael--cute picture of Mick...he looks pretty happy!

QNS--I saw the kit and thought about it, but really like the process of choosing my own colors and having an original quilt.

Today I got backing and batting cut for my BB quilt and 2 runners. Also got the borders on my FFC runner and finished cutting the flower fabric for a table topper...it uses 4-patch kaleidoscopes. The fabrics on the left will be used to make mini piano key borders with the cream as sashing...more sewing time tomorrow too!

Mirabelle--I just did a search and see I can get that book as a program that I can re-size the blocks http://www.quiltpro.com/page/Foundat...40_BB_Mainpage

There are two others by Carol Doak, so I will have to decide which one I want for sure.
