Oooohhh beautiful blocks Janie and Bev, they are gorgeous...

Excitement building for QuiltE, she will soon have a new toy to play with

I have had the most uneventful day, went to the local patchwork club's show n tell and it was the worst one I have ever been to. If I had to look at another set of QAYG placemats I was going to scream. There were about 60 ladies in attendance, 20 from my club and my club showed 20 quilts and in total we saw 24 quilts. I took my camera but didn't even turn it on. I didn't reveal my PC quilt as I want to do that when my club has their show n tell in July. I will be hanging it in the hall on Thursday so I can get a better photo of it.

I came home and decided to clean out one side of the sewing cupboard, where I store all my ufo's, wip and projects I want to start. I have hung a ufo on the design wall and am going to work on it until I get it finished, cause I only have to applique 9 flowers and put it together, the rest of it is already pieced ready to go.. will take a photo tomorrow and let you see what I am working on. I have also been working on Bonnie Hunters Star Struck for some time and sorted it out and I only have 36 more blocks to make so that is also going to be worked on and hopefully I can get them both finished
    Chat to you all soon

So exciting QuiltE I'm green with envy!

QNS, you're in my thoughts! (((HUGS)))

Mirabelle, you're such a good girl Sorting UFO's and finishing them! Soon there won't be any UFO's left to finish and you have to make new ones!

QuiltE, no pics of my garden yet because I'm not finished. Still a lot of work needs to be done. When I'm finished I will take some pictures.
Oh, I got your signature block, that's not the May block I was mentioning. Now to get creative When do you want it back? I know: asap but when??

Oh, I how I appreciate your hugs, it really helps a heap. Surprise, Sister-in-law (dh sister who hated the aunt and me for all the years we have been married) showed up at the funeral and luncheon at the Catholic church...and could not resist stabbing me in the back in the food line, telling her lies and why she needed an apology for an email that I never sent to her that she claims I did; perhaps only in her mind is it true. Who knows...I never have used the language she claimed was in the email and refuse to carry the anger on that she does. Poor girl needs one's pity that she is that way, to carry anger beyond way beyond reason and sanity. Life is too Short to carry all that anger around and commit an unladylike scene in a Catholic Church...at a funeral luncheon. I never replied, and ignored her and her outburst as much as possible.

Middle of my back is killing me; dh is worried about the lab reports tomorrow, but we will face the results together, and focus on the next step with a positive attitude. What ever will be, will be. Good news is fine with me.

It was snowing and raining in Iowa, but not here. Strange how twenty miles makes a big difference. Plum tree in full bloom, guess the frost will freeze it again this year.

Now what I can I do that is unique and different with one small block from Canada....maybe I can dream up a creative thought tonight.

Oh QNS, so sorry for the abuse you took from SIL! You did good, girl, to not fight back. It probably made her mad that you just ignored her, and the other relatives probably just "considered the source". My thoughts and prayers will be with you tomorrow.

Here is my MB for April from GrannyQ! Isn't it wonderful! She said it is the first time she has worked with batik fabric. Thank you so much GrannyQ!

I've been looking in and how the posts have multiplied!
Mirabelle...your raffle quilt is so charming. I hope you get a good price for it! Sorry the show and tell went do poorly. Sounds like the other group isn't very ambitious.
Carrie....I haven't taken pictures but the Wabash River is really high here. What were fields by the river are now lakes by the river. Some homes have been flooded too.
QNS..praying for you and yours. I hope tomorrow's results are good ones. I've watched on radar and saw the snow tailing after the rain that we're getting and thought if you and Carrie.
QuiltE....how exciting that you've finally committed to the next level in quilting. That stitch regulator should help.
Anael...your babies are really growing! I pray that Isa's eyes and both of their lungs repair themselves. I love the blocks that you've been posting. I looked at the pattern and it really intrigues me. I like the way the different size blocks are used.
Honchey...is it official that we can begin sending blocks once Mirabelle has hers? It seems to be working this month to do it that way. Mine will go out tomorrow to ????? This is so fun! Keep winning at bingo. You will have to make a quilt that Bingo bought!
Jan...have you done any fun things while DH is gone? Time must be running out.
Jeanie...your PC flimsy is perfect. What a neat border in keeping with the ride!
Dubib...what was it that you took the class for at Brady? Sounds like you were with some serious seamstresses.
MB makers...those that have been posted are beautiful. Each so individual and so well done!
I had class yesterday. Only 2 more months to go on the BOM we do after class and then we'll take a break for summer. Tomorrow I'm going to test drive the Janome 8200. I really don't "need " a different machine. Which will win...reason or emotions? I'll let you know.

LOL GG I bet your best side will win. Now is that reason or emotions? Only time will tell.
The class I took was ta learn the sashin' pattern Stars Above by Sharlyn Craig. She had us cut a focus fabric for this one but ya can use any blocks ya want. She has the directions for 6", 9", & 12" blocks but also explains how ta adapt the coping strips for other sizes. This would be great for sampler quilts. I just would have done the pinwheel parts my own way if I had had the pattern ahead o' time. I hate sewin' on the bias.

Jeanie, what a great block GrannyQ did for you. GGal, if you need your arm twisted for the new machine, just say that QNS twisted my arm...I am broad enough behind to take the blame...LOL!! Water has gone down here. Not much in the way of water here today...none in Missouri.

Gorgeous block from GrannyQ , Jeanie.

I'm fighting a migraine today and losing so will not be on here long.

Sending you big hugs and good wishes for tomorrow, QNS. You are so clever to handle the bitter SIL the way you did. It is not always easy to take the high road when we are being abused so good on ya!

Can't wait to hear about the new Bernina, QNS and thinking good thoughts to Aneal for those little ones.
