Lovely block Dublb made for you QuiltE! Your quilt will be like spring when ready, at least with these blocks! I love them!

I do remember how I started sewing. My mom used to buy cheap fabric on the market and she told me to just cut it and make a skirt with her sewing machine. I was 9 at that time I don't remember having learned reverse stitching though but I guess I must have

Anael I think Bram is saying "look at me, look at me I'm so big and strong", beautiful photos as always, makes my heart sing with joy to see them.

QuiltE another beautiful block, they all look so good together..

I placed the runner and mat on the stage and within an hour had noticed it wasn't there, so it went missing after only a couple of clubs had been on the stage showing their quilts. We asked everyone to look for it but nobody came forward. It certainly left me feeling very deflated.. I have woken this morning feeling as if every bone in my body is aching and a nasty cough so hoping I am not coming down with the flu.. Time for a hot shower..

Bram needs to be big and strong as his surgery is coming Tuesday! I hope he will come out of it ok.

It's late here (11.50 pm) so I'm calling it a day. Just need to feed KK (or PP ) and cu all tomorrow!
Hope you're feeling well again soon Mirabelle.

Karen--it is really too bad someone would take your placemat.

Bev--hope you were able to make good progress and can take a little break each day. Great MB for QE!

QE--your MBs are pretty all together. I am making the embroidered quilt *for my MIL*...she will enjoy it and when she is gone then it will go to one of her daughters. I know she will be thrilled when the blocks are made into the quilt. She hated for them to just be sitting in a box. I personally don't have a good place to display a quilt like this so it is ok.

Anael--cute pictures of the twins. They are looking so healthy. Praying for Bram's surgery.

I don't have any memories of my mom or grandma teaching me to sew. I taught myself shortly after we were married. My dad bought me my first machine (a Kenmore) for my 18th birthday (at my request) and then I found an old Singer in a cabinet at a garage sale for $25. I wanted some long skirts and couldn't find them in the store so figured out how to make them. I mostly used the Singer when sewing straight stitches, Kenmore for button holes and zig-zag. I made lots of dresses (some nursing), jumpers and skirts for myself and our girls. Never did master zippers so altered patterns to put in buttons or elastic.

Jeanie, yes it's for his hernia.

I made the Lemon Squares this morning but now I used half lemon juice and half orange juice. It's wonderful but I should have used corn starch!!

We had bad weather yesterday and last night and look what happened
