Talk of the day--mirabelle's wonder. I liked the first border, and wondered why you would take the time to change it, but you were so right. The darker border lets the blocks shine forth. You did such a wonderful job of balancing the light and dark blocks through out the quilt.
So glad to hear everyone survived the holiday and all are getting healthy. Unfortunately I have another trip to NW Iowa as my dear Godmother (88) passed away. Hers will be the third funeral in as many months.

QNSue ... post-busy-ness ... me-thinks it's time you declare a Be Nice to QNSue Day, and put your feet up for a bit!

OKSGlad ... So sorry for your loss. Travel safely as you come and go ... and allow yourself a sidetrip down memory lane in honour of your Godmother.

DublB ... so glad to know your Gran is up and moving about!

Oh yes Mirabelle, that blue border was just the thing to bring out those blocks. What a nice frame around the whole quilt. I'm glad everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm missing all the left overs, as we left them at my son's house. Glad to be home and am getting ready to start my Bonnie Hunter Easy Street Mystery!

Ggal--you asked about the sewing box. DD really liked it and the FQs I filled it with. She was sure to show Grandma and her aunt when they came over the next day.

Mirab--Your quilt is beautiful...as expected! I agree the the blue border finishes it very nicely.

OK--sorry to hear of your loss.

We heat with wood, so like some of you mentioned, we have "cold" rooms. I had planned to spend time quilting this weekend...Friday I was down with a migraine, Saturday was spent switching bedrooms with our girls. They have complained of a cold bedroom since we moved in. Dh likes to sleep in a cold room and we always had to be sure the door to our room was closed, so I got this idea and all agreed. I of course was going to wait until next week, but the girls thought it was good to just do it yesterday. So...that is what I spent my day doing and still working on some stuff this afternoon. It will take a few days to get everything in it's new place, but at least the beds and clothes are switched.

Other than work on Monday I have the rest of the week free, so I *will* be able to get some sewing done! I have a demo to finish prepping for (Dec 1st) and 2 tablerunners for Christmas gifts and then I can get back to sewing what I want to and not what I have to. YAY!!

Oksewglad I am so sorry for your loss, if you need to just chat we are all here for you.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, I am so pleased to have it finished. I am working on Bonnie Hunters Jamestown Landing, remember DD and I made hers while at retreat. My plan is to have it finished my Christmas, will quilt it in the New Year at LQS.

Pony Club is going to be quilted by a longarmer, yes I know I can quilt, but big quilts seem to end up a chore to me and I don't enjoy doing them. When I quilted my embroidered quilt it was done in sections which made it easier. Small lap quilts are more fun.

This is the progress I have made this week

Next time DS comes over will get him to hold up my snuggle (charity) quilts so you can see how busy I have been this year

CarrieM ... Your daughter looks very pleased with her box. A treasure to have and filled with memories for years to come!!

MiraB ... Another spectacular quilt .... Is that your DDs Jamestown Landing? I'll be looking forward to seeing your latest charity quilts. With all you have shown us, and the charity ones from before ... I really wonder how many you have completed this year? I know it'll be a big number!

    PC Bonus Blocks---

Hello Ladies, after checking with Honchey, we have decided to see what works best for most as far as a due date.

    Mid January or Early February

Please let me know what is best. I will be sending an email out too, just in case there is anyone who hasn't seen this thread yet.

    Thanks, Carrie

Anael, MiraB and I will have added mailing time issues, so probably will need to get them in the mail two weeks earlier than everyone else.

How about meeting in the middle of your dates and go with ........ February 1st?

Whatever date the group decides, I will get them done on time
    *shock*
    (I know!!!)
