Ggal, what a lovely quilt--so pretty!

Speaking of lovely, here's the block I got from JanieW. It's called Bordered Star and she remembered and used my favorite color--tourquoise--for the accent. Thank you, Janie--I love it.

Anael ... unused room? and you have not turned it into a sewing room yet? Think about it ... the whole wall could be a huge design wall!! Or how about one large table to sandwich your quilts?

GGal ... that is going to be such a beautiful quilt. So soft and feminine. Watch out though!!! With all those roses MiraB will be apt to dash in and steal it from you while you are sleeping!!

JanRN and JanieW ... ooooooooooooooh!!! And yes!! turquoise!!!!!! BEautifully done!

JanieW ... here's hoping you check just one more time before you fly away on us on Wednesday to know that your block has arrived!!!

My MB for ___________ was dispatched with the snails this afternoon!

Jan, What a pretty block!!! Kudos to you Janie for making it..
Ggal, that's a lovely quilt and roses are my favorite too!!!
I thought the perfection thing was justbasic instructions..I didn't know it would end up
as a quilt...I should have read the instructions better... it's very pretty..Hmmm, that's because
    you used roses

Ggal--very pretty quilt. I will have to check out that quilt pattern. I like the different size blocks. I am getting really excited for the retreat...a friend from FL is joining us so it will be a special time. (She moved a little over a year ago and this will be her first time back to Iowa.)

    Janie--pretty MB for Jan.

Jan do you have a group shot for us?

I go to see an orthopedic surgeon a week from Friday for my shoulder. The PT says I am much stronger than when I started to see her 8 weeks ago, but since I still have a painful "catch" several times a day she wants someone else to look at it/get an MRI to see what's going on.

QNS--I hope they can find something out on your knee.

CarrieM ... Good News that you can get in to the specialist so quickly! And we'll hope that there is only good news with that appt too.

GGal and CarrieM ... are you two retreating together? When do you take off for this one? What are you going to work on? I'll look forward to seeing what results!!!

GG, love your 'mock up' of A4A. Next SYE block is due on the 23rd of September.

JanRN, what a beautiful block from Janie.

Doctor agreed; I see the specialist on the 23rd of the month. There is swelling in the left side of the knee.

We sold all the eggs that was in the refrigerator and dh got his shoes selected and I got ink for our printers.

Honchey was kind and sent me the templates I needed. That was good because dh could not understand plain English on where to go and what to print...in the correct size. His printer had talked to mine, I think, and agreed to do it wrong. Oh, dear, I hope they go back to normal soon.

QNSue ... that's good news! Less than a week away to the appt.
I believe that Honchey said earlier that the 2nd block is tomorrow/17th.

I'm looking forward to life settling and being able to join all of you with my Spikes!

Here's what I finally finished today for the Fair.

This was a challenge block where you got three fabrics to make a a 12" block to fit the theme "Friendship Grows at the Fall Fair". We could add other fabric(s) if we wished. The blocks will be kept by the Fair, made into quilts and/or cushions for a fundraising raffle.

Here's the original fabric ... and what I created ............

I have actually been quilting today and yesterday! ALOT of unpicking... YUCK! but thats what you get when you sew with sinus congestion.

I pulled two runners out of a black hole (aka a bin in the closet) and am TRYING to learn FMQ on my new machine... I sewed and quilted a runner for my just married sister yesterday! I told her if she dosent like it she can use it as a rug! it turned out REALLY bad!!! the one I have been quilting today actually looks good, but unpicking because the backing got folded over.... SIGH!!! I KNOW I can do this! I know I can, I just know I can..... wish me luck
