QNSue ... I believe that Honchey said that the pattern was not "in" the book, rather attached. Thus not requiring destruction of the book. ... I was visualizing the books where the pattern is set in at the back cover of the book, not quite loose.

I was thinking the patterns were posted on a fold up sheet in the back of the book like the quilting magazines do their patterns for the issue. Simple matter to ASK and I believe they will say 'yes' detach and copy and put the sheet back in with a note so the library can put it in an envelope or glue it back in the book. Good training for the younger set to use with respect to others. Everyone is on the same page, so to speak, that way.

Ok here too. Lots of limbs down and some minor roof repair needed is all. The power was off for several hours. It was only a small inconvience .
Honchey...love your blocks! It's fun to have a IRL group to work with.
JanRN....another beauty to add to your MBs. I hope that your schedule doesn't get interrupted again
Anael...soooo glad to see you! I pray continued strength as you get ready for surgery. Those DGC of yours are adorable.
OK...well at least you weren't crying over spilt milk. I hope Ilean didn't think it was cause for another visit.
Dubib..it sounds like yours is a labor of love.
Carrie...glad you are safe as well.
QNS...I have a password book too. Most sites will reset it if you still have the user name.
GrannyQ...I can't imagine your life right now. Take some time for yourself and find those that can hold you in their arms when needed.
DJ has not gotten to the top level in my bucket list and I'm going to pass on this one. I'm pretty good at cheerleader though. I have plans for a Eleanor Burns BOM at the LQS and a quilt along with the A4A group both beginning in January. By then I hope to have Bonnie Hunter's latest mystery quilt close to the flimsy stage and the SYE will be down to the last few months. I think I've mentioned before that I wanted to do a Baltimore Album type quilt and I just found an online quilt along I want to do. I might not get past the wall hanging size but I want to try. I can see already that some of the participants are accomplished at the skill and I know I will learn a lot.

Wow, lots of chatter this morning! So glad everyone is OK after those awful tornados.

I also have a little book that I put my Internet address/password into. I picked it up at Barnes and Noble. It is very sturdy and has alphabet tabs.

Anael - such a cute photo of the SewGrands! The babies are really getting big, and look so happy. Also, thank you for the Yahoo Group information for DJ. I'll have to look into that, if I decide to do that quilt. I really like sampler quilts! I hope you will be feeling better, and built up your strength for your upcoming surgery.

Looks neat to me; that would be pretty as a table runner for Easter, Dublb. Love the colors you used.

QNS, the folded sheet with templates is in the back of the book, not the actual pages...I was able to use my seam ripper and slice up the fold of the sheet close to where it was attached and opened it without disengaging it from the book. I was then able to open it and refold to place it in the scanner and copied what I needed..I then refolded it to the original way it was....I didn't have to remove it at all

I made rice pudding for my part for the clubhouse BINGO refreshment table and I won the last game of the evening... $ 80...that was so great!!!! quite a few wanted the recipe so I'll have it published in the monthly newsletter....I was told to also mention that it should say "as served in Bingo"...so they'll know it is the "good one"..ha ha ha...I love it!!!

I did a little bit of drivin today, about 60 miles total and my right leg, knee & ankle has swelled up on me...so now I have it elavated with the Tens unit patches on...I'm wondering if the sewing has something to do with it...I was at it for 2 days...
Anael, The Sewgrands are getting sew big!!! they look great together..

I have to now start getting my stuff together for the return home..we are leaving Friday afternoon and staying over in Virginia. to continue on Saturday....then to get ready for Turkey Day!!!
Take Care, all of you...have a good evening. I'm off to beddy bye...

Dublb--I really like that block. It will make a nice wallhanging.

Anael--very cute picture of your grandchildren.

Ggal--you have been very productive this year. Sounds like you have some fun things planned for 2014!

QNS--were you able to talk to anyone at the foundation factory? Hope you can get it to work for you.

Honchey--pretty blocks. Congrats on another bingo win!

Got word this morning that my GGD was born. Elizabeth Malai at 7#4 oz and 19 3/4 inches. Nice size for the first. I have no idea when I will see her since they live in S Carolina and I don't do winter travel anymore.
until I can get to the LQS for more border fabric for the jungle quilt, I will be working on my Ocean Waves. I have about half of the blocks done and lots of triangles ready to make into units. I have a pot of stew made, it's cold and sunny out so I should have a productive morning in the sewing room. This afternoon the fallen tree limbs have to be picked up whether I feel like it or not. Have a good one!
