    Thanks Jan
You're like my DDIL, she should buy desert plants which only need watering once a year or so. She once gave me a few to see if I could nurse them back to life. They all were shouting.......please, water, please One didn't survive, the others did.

Anael - I also love your new avatar! Sooooo cute!

I'm doing my last shopping for Thanksgiving today. Hope I get everything - seems I always forget something, but Joe is so sweet and always willing to fight the lines to get what I forgot!

We are taking off for Phoenix next Monday, can't wait to see the grandkids!

I have the book "Quilting Dot to Dot" and have practiced some on a white board. I have not had the nerve to try it on fabric though. I still trace everything on Press 'N Seal and follow the lines! LOL I am much more confident of that skill.

I am making these wall hangings (3 of them) for my siblings for Christmas. I think they are turning out quite well! I have one made except for putting the light in it, one is sandwiched ready for quilting, and one is still in the box waiting. I hope I can get the 2nd one quilted before I leave for Phoenix. It takes me some time to quilt all the different shapes in the tree, so it stands out. Below is where I saw the wall hanging:

    Have a great day everyone!

    Hi everyone I'm baaacckkk!!!

I have read all the posts I missed, just too much going on to reply to everyone. I have had a busy couple of weeks, I am now staying home until the 12th December when I have a Christmas party to attend. No more driving up and down the highway for me yay

I posted my November MB on the 4th and it still hasn't arrived I am starting to get worried that is has gone astray in the post.

I also posted my December block this week, so hopefully it will avoid the holiday rush of mail.

Both blocks received Anael's tick of approval so hopefully the recipients will like them also.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Before I head off to read the posts that I've missed ... I have something pretty exciting to share ....................... when I went to the post office today, look what was waiting for me in my mailbox.

When I opened it up, I just about feinted!!
Thank you MiraBelle ... you went way over and above with all this applique work.

It's absolutely amazing. Just take a look at it ... I know you can't appreciate it anywhere near what I can, here, IRL!! Look close and see MiraB's trademark roses, all nicely fussy cut. And my goodness, see all that applique!! She wrote that the block is called Summer's Best from Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks,Volume I. In my books, it's going to be called MiraB's Best! :D I am SO blessed! Thanks again, MiraB!

Now I am back tracking and doing my catch up read!!!!!!!

DublB ... looks like you are getting some of the same weather as we are! Though I think we in the north are somewhat more expectant of it. Glad you got home safe and sound. I think today was the final closing of your old house? Hope all went well.

Honchey ... good for you for your sleep in, first day back! I bet the kids felt like you;d been gone, "forever"! I think the best for those daffodils would be for your husband (not you!!) to stuff them into the ground!

Anael ... Count me in on enjoying your new pic of the 3-SewGrands! So good to see you have done some sewing and "need" to shop your stash. And with some nice new sweaters finished and on the way. Better watch out, as CarrieM will be trying to steal that purple and green one! Talk about ambition ... now talking about planting bulbs. Glad that they have finally got you feeling better!

JanRN ... keep that cccccccccold to yourself please!!! I've been really feeling it, even when I am inside. What's that a sign of? getting old? Me too ... not a good plant person. Despite Anael's suggestion re desert plants ........ I have even killed them with lack of watering!

JeanieG ... Great to see you are heading to Phoenix again! I'm sure it;s hard for you to do Long Distance Grandparenting! I'm curious about your siblings gifts but the link did not work for me. Look forward to seeing your results.

MiraB ... oh dear ... I didn't read your post til after I posted the pic. Looks like our two postal systems were not cooperating in speedy service. That's three weeks! And to think I had even gone to the post office on Friday, so for sure the three weeks. I know how frustrating it is to be waiting for someone to get yours. Good for you for getting your December block away early. I'm hoping for mine to be gone within the week too. Looks like you've been a busy lady ... glad to have you back with us. Hard to believe you are going to stay put til Dec 12th ... do you think that is even possible?? .... that's 2-1/2 weeks!

Watch out Ladies ... imagine all the quilting MiraB will do in this time!

McFr♥sty is almost done ... and soon will make his debut!

Hey guys - We didn't git t a close on the house taday. The title company was closed. Sigh we were over freezin' temps by 9:00am. We had ta sign an extension th'sevenin'. I did meet my DSis at the hospital so she could git a needle biopsy o' her breast. Mostly I sat in the waitin' room. Then I met my DF/Housekeeper here at the house. She & her daughter (my apprentice) came ta clean. I tended ta the toddler while they cleaned. My DGD helped me play w/him. I wanted the whole house cleaned for Thanksgivin'. They got most o' it done & my DF will come & do the Kitchen tamarrow.

OK, Quilt E, I'll post another copy of the link to my siblings Christmas Present. It goes to the tutorial of how to make the quilt panel. It is a Missouri Star Video. I'm almost finished quilting the 2nd one.

DublB ... so when will you close now? Lucky you ... sparkly home for Thanksgiving!!!

    Fantastic JeanieG!!!

I've seen these panels here, but yet to see one quilted. Nor have there been any of the lights here.

I've looked around for mini lights, to use on this or a similar project, but any I've found seem too big to work in.

Do you have the lights? Would you please show me a pic of how large they are? Perhaps a close up of one with a ruler?

What a wonderful gift for your siblings!

I brought the first of my Christmas decorations out tonight and will start putting them in place tomorrow.

Here are the lights that came with this kit. I have one all quilted and the binding on. One half way quilted, and one to go. I thought I would wait until I have them all quilted and bound, then put the lights in. The kit came with really good instructions, plus everything was included: panel, backing, batting, lights.

I am so happy that you like it QuiltE.

JeanieG that is an awesome panel from Missouri Star, have not seen anything like it before. Your wallhangings will be beautiful and sparkly and oh so Christmassy
