Hi All--I worked at the quilt shop today. We got nearly 4" of snow here yesterday/last night so things weren't too busy today. We're working on counting bolts of fabric for inventory later this month.

Mirabelle--your quilt is coming along and looking very pretty!

Ggal--that new quilt looks like a fun one.

Anael--I like the table runner...very nice! I will download the pattern for future reference.

QNS--Just so you know the 50 Stars is just 1 per week, not 2.

Jan---YAY for Rosie!! Don't forget to share your progress...or at least the finished project with us!

Honchey--I am planning on the 50 Stars (obviously) and also DJ (making 1-2 blocks per week)...of course if I have surgery I won't be starting either in January like I want to, but will be sure to see what others are doing. I will be sure to keep checking in here...this is the only thread I *always* read! It's been great getting to know you all through the last couple years. Have fun baking with/for your sister...so great of you.

I will always come here first! I will try ta follow ya'll as ya do your other things but I'll come here first!

Well I planted bulbs taday. Burrrrrr I'm coooooold now! I needed ta git 'em in the ground. I was sure glad ta see my #2DSon drive up from work ta help me finish up. I did git ta meet the neighbors that I hadn't met yet. The man was drivin' by & stopped & asked me if I wasn't cold enough & that I had ta go out in this cold. LOL He then gave me a pair o' gloves ta work with. I did have 5 layers o' shirts on & my core wasn't cold a'tall. Just my legs & hands. When I took the gloves back, I met the lady & she is a quilter!!!

Jan, you shouldn't have mentioned Rosie ! ! ! ! That's another UFO I have to finish but I still have a lot of blocks to do I even have no idea where they are.

I PM'ed Patrice about a seperate thread for Sylvia, she hasn't answered yet, only asked if a book or software is involved.

Bev, it's great your neighbor lady is a quilter too! What bulbs did you plant?

Honchey...thanks for keeping this as home for us. I too check in here a couple if times each day.
JanRN...you'll make it through. This year it's memories...not having to live it every day and all of the uncertainty is gone. We'll be here for you.
Anael...you don't know how good it is to have you feeling better and back with us.
mirabelle....I think you said something similar earlier this year about not starting new quilts but it's so hard not it when there are special people with special events in their life. Your current non-start is lovely!
It got down to 7 degrees F this morning. So glad the only place I have to go today is the sewing room! Have a good one everyone!

Good day everyone. Sometimes I go here first--often times it's the last as I want to save the best for last. Yesterday was full as I finished a couple of projects for guild. We had an exchange--made a little fence rail for it. Receiver held it up and all called out my name--they recognized who had made it. For my 2 QBbuddies I made fabric cards--took me a while and have no pics to share--sorry.
Last night got the binding on the tree quilt and all the threads hidden. Off to take a picture now; get it ready to mail and then have to make a town run for RX and food! Sun shining today but cold and the wind has picked up. Below zero windchills. The car needs gas and I hate the thought of having to stand out and fill her up.
My projects are to finish things I have started; get ready for a new grandson and new DIL.
Stay warm or cool for those of you in the tropics.

Good Afternoon everyone...It's snowing right now..expecting 5-6" of it...Dentist Office closed early today so I have to reschedule for next week..Finished all the shopping for the PITA sister...I got home at 11:30 last nite...she kept on calling me to get something else...

My DJ software is being mailed to me instead of me traveling uncharted roads tomorrow...although finding another quilt shop would have been nice...maybe next time...I hope the roads will be nice and free of ice...

I have to go in the garage and unpack the car to repack it!!!! my baking stuff is mixed in with sister's. UGH! have to get it done...

I'm glad to know the responses have been positive...We are all going to be very busy with the approaching Holidays...try to take time for yourself and not get stressed...we are all so lucky to be able to do what we do...
I'll be busy with DS for the rest of the week...I will be stopping by to see what's going on...Later..H.

    HI all,

I started quilting the Christmas Star Wreath this afternoon and I have to say it's not bad Started with SID, did some Dot to Dot quilting and I'm doing freehand feathers right now (if KK will allow so ) As always I find it hard to decide how to quilt, what designs to use and where to use them. It often takes me a while before I know what I want.

The weather isn't too bad, it's damp but not cold. No freezing temperatures, it's 4C right now and tonight it might be below zero.

Made it to the barber's without forgetting the date this time and came back home. Cold, but the sun is shinning, so it makes things more pleasant outside. Company (bfs)coming on the weekend to work on the pantry and dh wants another soft pudding pie, so the blocks may have to wait until later or an another day.

GrannyQ, IF you are checking in, I did receiver the packet. Thanks.

No replies on Ms. Clause question. . . do I send anyway...or not. Have boxes already to pack and send out holiday cheer. . .???

Packing it up, Honchey, just for you....as soon as I can find it again. Dern, I hate moving things in and out of the quilt room like I did at Thanksgiving and my senior moment hits, 'now where o where' did I put that...in my room????! Planned this for a long time!
