I stay up till about 11.30 pm, sleep, wake up and go downstairs (as you all have noticed ), sleep again and wake up again between 7 and 8 am.

My Bernina is back! The dealer just handed it over to me. I did a few teststitches and it's ok again! He's going to look into an alternative for a long/mid arm. I told him about the Janome 7700 and 8200 and he will do some searching. I'm in no hurry as I don't have the money yet to buy another machine.

dublb: I don't know that song so I have no idea if it looks like it But just go ahead and sing a song for us!

Now I'm going to prepare for a meeting tonight. Talk to you later again.

Oh my! I spend 24 hours sleeping off the stomach flu and find so much is happening. What a busy group--I can't believe all the projects yinz have going on! What fun it's been to catch up (although I didn't read all the recipes--waiting for stomach to settle down and then I'll go back to them LOL).
I did get my BB mailed and I'm biting my nails. I told Carrie to check them and if they need re-done to let me know. I think they're ok and I'm so anxious to see everyone's. I'm going to make a wall hanging for my sewing room to remind me of this Pony ride and all the good friends I've made.
Got all the borders on Pony quilt, just need to attach the backing and binding. Was supposed to go on a FART today so I could get the backing fabric but think I need another day to recuperate. We have 2 nasty flus going around in our area: upper respiratory and stomach. News reports say this is the worst year for upper respiratory flu so yinz take care and wash those hands!! (Nurses are such nags!)
Back to the couch for a little nap!

JanR...I saw in the news last night that somewhere in PA, they actually have set up a tent in the parking lot to triage flu patients they have so many coming in. Feel better soon but don't rush it. You know better than me that relapses can be worse than the original!
All...here is a Pam Bono website with a free BOM which we might find interesting. We can download it all now but there are 18 blocks . It looks like they have Y seams but, Jan...they are not Y seams! Mirabelle, you are doing that beautiful Pam Bono and others have said her quilts are not difficult but how would you grade something like this for our group and our skill levels? http://pamsclub.com/free-for-everyon...k-of-the-month. We will have to come to some sort of plan in the next few weeks.

Those are cool gardnergal, I love it! Click on the last block and it will show you what the whole quilt looks like (no applique).

Jan - nurses are not suppose to get sick! Doesn't the flu shot work for this flu??? Must have missed this strain in the serum! I was suppose to go the Dr. for an blood pressure check last Friday, and they called on Thursday saying my doctor was sick, so rescheduled the appointment. Even Dr.'s get sick!!!

dublb - I am a night person too. Never in bed before midnight!

My kitty sat on my keyboard and now it's acting weird (the keyboard ).

I've seen that Pam Bono BOM a few times, even downloaded the patterns and was to intimidated to try. But if we all give it a go I'm in! It's not foundation piecing though. If we can gat this one right we can get everything right!

Ggal--I think that quilt looks like a good one too. I download the blocks for "some day"...even if we don't do them as a group I will have them. Is there a special ruler or anything needed?

Was going to sew, but DS thinks we should split some wood since it is almost 40*F today! It is supposed to cool off again this weekend, so he is probably right....might be able to sneak in a little sewing if I get off the computer.....

Just got the mail...no package today. Guess I'll have to wait until after work tomorrow.

Have just quickly checked out the BOM, just got out of the shower (and the computer is on the way to the bedroom) Had to check the chatter.
The blocks do not look difficult, you just need to cut precisely and before you start sewing ensure that you understand her instructions, which are always very detailed I will definitely download these when I get home today.
Wow we will have lots of choose from for our next project OR we just number them and work our way through them all
Gotta get dressed and I am off to patchwork (okay I am wearing a towel) a very BIG towel
