    Great job Carrie!

I won't ever say again I need practice. I was happily quilting the next piece with matching thread when I realized something wasn't right. The first piece was stuck under the second one and I quilted them together Now both are ruined!!

Anael--I am sorry to hear about your quilting mistake. You do a very nice job.

The power is out all around, school closed, etc due to ice. We have a generator, so as long as we don't run out of gas, we can keep the lights on. I am thankful for the wood stove too because even if we don't have electricity we won't get cold!

Hope everyone else is safe and warm!

Sounds like you are prepared Carrie when the power goes out. That's good. Nice job on your table runner and pillowcase/

DH says it is icy here, so the Christmas packets are being delayed...no shipping today. I got up early, but cannot deliver them today to the PO, so they will be after Christmas. Sorry you all. I just ran too late.

    Stay warm and safe, everyone.

QNS--it is ok! We all understand and spreading out Christmas is always fun too.

Our power wasn't out as long as it was several years ago from ice, so that was nice.

Sorry, Anael, that one was tucked under the other one...could you rip it all out? One stitch at a time...might take awhile, but you could maybe save both?

Now I am trying to figure out subscriptions that have not been working and reset here. Sigh. I deleted all the old ones; tried putting in FWS and Pony Club. Will want to add the new ones for January...may have to try again.

And here I sit with not one calendar for 2014.

Good news: we got our car and truck back into the garage. Tight fit. Thick ice on them. Dh had to scrap off what he could to see the garage interior. He looked over at my car, and laughed because one cat had jumped up on the windshield on the ice and was sliding down on the ice on the windshield! LOL.

Oh wow, I'm glad someone was looking at the birthdates - Happy Birthday from me as well Anael! Also so sorry about your quilting accident, I agree with QNS, maybe you can pick out the stitches and try again. The stitch holes will not show when the quilt is washed.

Hello All GLAD to see everyone I am at the Wifi Hotspot "McDonalds" just dying to get online and chat with you ladies! the fellow that came out to fix our internet took the antenna with him when he left! so we went from bad connection to NO connection.... not to happy about it and he wont be back to fix it until the 30th.

I have to be quick here I guess... and get all the importants down hopefully. YES!!! I will post pics of MBs, I DID get my Dec block sewn but not mailed, I think I will wait a few days before venturing to the post office

I DID order fabric, book, for to do a DearJane... after being really down again this last week I have been thinking about doing a special twist on it. QuiltE called it a "20yr Quilt" I dont know if that is how long it will take me... but Im willing to try. and see where the journey takes me. I want to write a journal entry with each block, with how I feel physically and emotionally, living with Chronic Epstein Barr. eventually I want to make 4 smaller quilts, one for each of my kids, I want them to KNOW without a doubt that their mother LOVES them. if im here to SAY it to them... or if im not, a quilt can say it for me... Quilts are LOVE.

and the GOOD news I woke up to the sound of dripping! YAY! it is finally above the freezing mark it took two and a half weeks... and it SURE is welcome!!!

Love to all of my Dear Quilt Ladies! may you have a wonderful season!

Jeanie and Mirabelle you sent DD a beautiful MD block! DD, I hope you checked your emails at McDonald's too. Nice to know you are melting the ice and snow, we have temps taking nosedives this next week.

Good to know the ice storm missed dd in Lincoln, NE. They are enjoying the Holiday together...having fun.

Dh wanted Chili, so that is what I made today. Stay warm and safe everyone.
