Yes, there is a choice, Mirabelle and Aneal, you can MAKE your own biscuits!! JeanieG is talking about the cardboard tube of quick biscuits found in our dairy cases in the Supermarket. But you can do the same thing with bread dough or biscuit dough. I had a media specialist who worked with me who made them for customers...catered them. She started with sweet dough...let it rise once, punched it down and rolled it into small balls, rolled them in cinnamon and sugar (you can also use honey for more goo) and let them raise and bake in oven.

Grandmothers recipe called for 4 eggs, 1 cup sugar, potato water from boiled potatoes...blanched milk, yeast, flour and salt. Always 'proof' the yeast...before doing all the mixing of ingredients together.

Hey Honchey. Good ta here from ya. It sounds like ya had a great time at Bingo.

I am gonna git a present!! DH said that we are gonna go ta the Quiltin' Patch, in th'mornin' before we leave.

    I got another egg recipe.

    Egg Soup

1 cup o' chicken broth seasoned ta taste.
    1 egg
Scramble the egg in measurin' cup or something w/a spout.
    Bring broth ta boil.
Slowly pour the egg inta the boilin' broth. The slower the better.
When all o' it is in the broth boil just a li'le bit longer then eat.

dudlb, 'git' a good one tomorrow! And have a great time at the cabin.

Good to hear from Honchey...missing her coming by...

Rippin' frog time here. Maybe the BBs will get done....maybe not. One step forward, two steps back. Going into the kitchen to cook tomorrow. So many new recipes to try...but plan on skipping the cookie recipe. Already got a man and don't need any more, thank you. Too old to change!

Well, I see you have all had fun, on me today!

First I'll tell you about my dumb move of the night!!! or is that year?
    Did you hear me cursing?
I got back home and started supper. Decided that as I waited I'd do some on that GFG. Remember it was to be smallish with only 8 flowers, then the fillers. I had 2 more hexies to add, then the last flower, already made. Got the single hexies done. Took out the flower, and started at it, making sure I was joining it onto the right part of the hexie where it went. Checked a few more times, as I started stitching. I had it almost all sewn .... and discovered yes it was on the right part of the hexies so it'd lay flat in place .......... though I'd put it in the wrong place!! GFGs do not come off easily with all that whip stitching. So now, instead of feeling like I was on home stretch and just had filler hexies to do, I now have two more flowers to do ... and a bunch more fillers. Curses!

    Anael
... Hurrah for your BBs!!! Glad you got your Bernina back working. It's annoying isn't it when our machines don't do what they are supposed to do! Thanks, though it was really the cookie recipe I wanted. Sticky Buns are just too darned good ... and too sweet for me (believe it or not!). I'll let you make the cookies first!

    DublB ... what a hoot!

MiraB ... OMG, Molly is ever so talented!

QNSue ... Post #829 ... is that the I want to marry you cookie recipe? It's intriguing, but yes, looks like a lot of work. When you add the egg white and egg yolk ... are you supposed to beat the egg white first? If not, why separate additions? Hang in there with those BBs .... you'll get there! We know you will! And tomorrow, I'll be sniffing away to see what you whip up when you get back to the kitchen!

JanRN ... time to hunker down this weekend and get rid of that bug!

JeanieG ... you're calling to my sweet tooth, and that looks so much easier than "real" sticky buns! For a new twist, try adding some maraschino cherries with the nuts, just for some extra colour!

Anael and MiraB ... If you've checked out the Pillsbury site you'll see they have all sorts of tubes of ready to bake goods! When you see other ingredients you don't have, please let us know. Some may be ones, just by a different name. I know you mentioned that with some of my earlier posts, but to me, they were all common ingredients!! Most of my recipes are pretty basic (at least I think so!), and I will fess up, I seldom have used the Pillsbury Doughboy goodies.

Honchey ... hip hip hooray for your wins! As for those men ... love how you just smiled sweetly! And probably to yourself said, BINGO, and I'll beat you! Great news on the fabric warehouse ... lucky you!! Next thing, you'll be telling us that you're working there as trade for fabric. OMG ... all that FC work ... I'm embarrassed and fear you may be dreadfully disappointed with mine.

So now, I'll go back to my grumble-mutter-cursing over that GFG!!
Forgot to tell that I have been working on a Rail Fence Mini ... all out of FR♥sty's trimmings! Maybe I should call it Meltdown? Hope to finish the piecing of it this weekend.

Alrighty now--I'm at least upright and I thank you all for wishing me well. It's my own fault; should have rested Wednesday instead of going to Costco in the rain, doing laundry and sewing. Tried all day to take a nap but kept thinking of things that needed done so I'd jump up to do them. I'm feeling fine now so hope this has passed. So many people are sick right now--please all of yinz stay well. Eating all the good recipes you've posted would be a good start. I love eggs and can't wait to try some of these. And no, I'm not making those cookies; MrJanRn is a keeper (after 43 years of marriage I better say that LOL).

JanRN ... glad to see you are "upwardly mobile". NOW don't go and overdo things this weekend and have a relapse!! BEHAVE!!! So that means you can sit and sew at whatever you feel like, all weekend!

And yes, everyone please stay well ... tonight they were talking about your USA flu epidemic ... three times the cases to date than all of last year! They didn't say what out numbers are yet, though before Christmas they did say that we had more than the whole of last year. So no doubt we're chasing your numbers!

CarrieM ... my address is on my parcel. Also, will email it to you, as requested!

What type of envelopes did you all use for the BB? Did you enclose cash or check for the return postage? Inquiring minds want to know!
