Thanks for the compliments

Carrie, I could show you how to do it with pictures if you want to. It really isn't hard.

Hey Ya'll I have pictures. What upsets me is I forgot ta take picts o' the walhangin' I finished handquiltin'. I also forgot ta buy the bindin' fabric for it while I was at the LQS taday. It's the FFC walhangin I made. Sigh maybe tamarrow.
First here are the DOT blocks that were made for the cancer patient. I didn't git a pict o' the dots though.

This one I tried ta use perment felt pens. They were great till I added the Inktense. The Inktense is mixed w/Aloe Vera gel. The gel made the dry (& already heat set) ink bleed. It blead more everytime I washed it. I didn't send it in.
It's also a day picture.

Here are my MB's!
First the one from Honchey.

This one is from QE!

Now all 14 tagether.

I'm really not happy w/this layout though. It's gonna have too much muslin in the middle. Even makin' 3 more blocks ta add ta the bottom isn't gonna make up for the empty middle. I'll play w/'em some more till I git it right.

Anael I love your cardigan, wish I lived in a colder climate I would join you in knitting wonderful creations..

Bev what a beautiful group of wallhangings, and a sweet DH buying you roses, I can smell them from here...
Love all your blocks laid out, it will be a wonderful memory quilt for you to snuggle under.

This is what I have been working on for the past week, still have a few more blocks to sew together for a couple more rows, then back to piecing these little 3 inch blocks, its not making a dent in the scraps. I am sure they breed at night I am only working on a quarter of the quilt, don't know what size it will end up that depends on the scrap supply and how long it takes me to get sick of doing it

Mirabelle, you can knit a cotton cardigan. In winter it might be chilly where you live? I love your Geese project! I guess I have to send my scraps to you so they can learn how to breed

Bev, great wallhangings and wonderful roses! The empty middle is a FMQ challenge

Anael, lovely sweater--looks so warm and cuddly, could really use that here! I knitted a scarf once. Once--that was all it took to convince me I'm not a knitter. My mother was fantastic at crochet. She could sit behind someone in church who was wearing a sweater and go home and recreate the pattern. She tried to teach me. Tried, then told me to stick to quilting.

Bev, thank you for all the beautiful pics. Your Mbs will make an awesome quilt. If you want a diagonal setting, I'd take the House Block out and use it on the back as your label. Lots of room in the "sky" area to write your data.

Mirab, love your geese. I especially like the different color cornerstones--they really add interest. You are so right about scraps multiplying. I've done nothing but scrap quilts for the past year and I still have more than I started with. They are fertile little things, breeding at night I think.

QE, love your heart projects and the story that went along with them.

Bev...since there are only 13 in the MB exchange and you didn't make one for yourself, I don't understand how you have 14. If someone sent you two, use one of them for a pillow. You do have some beautiful blocks to work with.
Anael....I've tried sweaters but none were really wearable. I admire your abilities!
Carrie...glad you're feeling a little better.
Jan...I see PA is getting pounded by bad weather again. Stay safe and warm.
Honchey....you went South, but you've had some bad weather too haven't you?
Mirabelle....are you PP those geese? You sure have them well trained to all do the same thing!
Finished the Ocean Wave border. Pictures next week. Ticking off the February goals for you boosters and guess what...still haven't tackled FMQ. I know I'm running out of excuses with half the month to go.....below zero again this morning after about 6 inches of snow yesterday. Got back into the yard by the skin of my teeth after a grocery run and I'm getting a little tired of being parked so much. Rain and 50 degrees late next week if I can make it that long. Have a good day!

Goals?????Falling behinder and behinder more all the time...but there are still days left in the month...two weeks from today is the first. No stars made for the 50 Fab Stars...falling short in Sylvia, and Dear Jane. No SYEs made; no MB made or in the mail yet. Too many naps...hibernation, I think....need Spring.

Yes, I am ready for Spring...enough snow and cold weather, ready for the warmer temperatures coming next week. Lows are predicted to be above freezing.

Dublb, that is a lot of creative talent you posted. And there goes Mirabelle, hopping right along with more great projects. JanRN, sounds like a FART trip coming ahead since you just work on Mondays. GG, maybe its time to work on a Spring scene....out of florals or bunnies or Easter scenes.

Carrie, hang in there; you will be back quilting soon. Everyone take care and be happy!

This is way out if my price range so just for giggles and grins. I just love how the blocks are set. Without the traditional sashing, the design just seems to float. None of blocks look too difficult and substitutions could be made to fit personal preference. I'm a little puzzled that it would take 18 yards for the top and binding. My first BH quilt called for 14, was about the same size, had more seams, and I had quite a bit left over.

GG yes I have 2 extra. First my mail messed up with OK's block. She finally made another one & sent it ta me. Then 3 months later I finally got my first one from her. LOL Then QNS sent me a block before her eye surgery. She decided that she didn't like how it came tagether so sent me one after the surgery. I personally loved the first one & saw no problems w/it but she insisted. So I have a bit more & am truly blessed!
Jan I do want the house ta be in the middle but am thinkin' that instead o' puttin' settin' triangles on the house like the picture plans for, I'll set the blocks closer ta this lay out. (All the blocks aren't in this pict.)

There will be some muslin in the middle still but not all that great expanse. After I add the other 2 blocks that have come in since this pict then I only need ta add 2 blocks o' my own.
