I'm so glad I revisited your prior post and was once again thrilled by your "knock your socks off" blocks. This "Farmer's Wife" is truly 21st century! With all the vibrant colors, I tend to want to showcase them by using a neutral color such as an off-white. I tend to think a vivid color sashing would fight with the blocks...but that's just my conservative opinion. Belles

Thank you everyone for your kind words, yes I am pleased I have stuck with this. Last August it seemed to take forever for the weeks to roll by so we could post our finished blocks but here it is July and they seem to be zooming by in a flash, finish one set and it is time to start another. I think if you tried making this sort of quilt on your own you would be inclined to skip the more difficult blocks.
I have however started looking at Sylvia's Bridal Sampler (took it to bed the other night as reading material :P ) The blocks are different to FWS. hmmm maybe ?

I'm keeping mine, too. Too much blood, sweat, and tears!! I made a lot of notations in mine in case I decide to do any of the blocks again. But NOT 6 1/2" blocks LOL!!!!

Someone PM me, wanting to buy my FWSQ book. I said no way, check on Amazon.com. I have notes in my book and it goes with the quilt to which ever one of our children wants the quilt.

I am impressed with the layouts and colors used. Struggling to get it sewn together. On the corner diagonal row, but life keeps getting in the way. If it is not one thing, its three more via for monies and attention. Hoping & praying for solutions. Have finished making about five dozen jars of jams.

I went to Staples to have the book spiral bound and they wanted $12. I felt that was too much money. I have pages falling out of mine...when I'm working on a block or instructions I like it to lay flat.. really flat so the binding has cracked in my book. The corners on the cover are peeling and curled. It would only cost a few $ more to buy a new book at Joanns with 50% coupon. Anne
