Finally have all of my top finished. I really do like it but I plan on taking a break from it before I quilt it. Hand piecing is just NOT my thing! LOL!!!!! I won't say never again but I will say it will be a long, long time before I do it again. I have such repect for our grandmothers who need to hand sew every piece of clothing as well as quilts.

I thought about redoing the borders so the cream outer border matched up with the cornerstones.....also the outer border has more ripples than I like but today I put it away & will think about it tomorrow!

That is beautiful!!! I love the soft cream sashing and the minty green borders. They compliment your blocks and give it a soft, airy feeling. I can't think of enough adjectives. I love the blocks in the outer borders used as cornerstones-really adds something to the finished quilt. You really did an outstanding job--please pat yourself on the back. Love it, Dody-great work.

As for the wavy borders, if mine wave after I get them on for the third time, I'm waving back! I figure it will drape over the side of the mattress and look fine.

    Wow--I love your quilt!!!

LOL, Jan....I like how you think!!! Most of the lack would be taken up in the quilting; I just have to wait & see how much I care....later ;-) Thanks so much! I could use a pat on the back!!!

Love the green fabric you picked for your borders, it really complement the blocks. Very pretty.

Beachbound, very nice, I like the soft colors, makes the quilt look entirely different and unique. Really appeals to me.

Hi, I finally got my daughter to take pictures of my completed top. I have received the border fabric and the backing but have not had time to attach. Let me know what you think

Abigail's Mimi, your quilt is stunning! The colors simply pop and it looks like each block is so wonderfully FLAT. Excellent work!

this is so exciting!!! seeing how everyone is getting their quilt together :D :D :D

I went to the park today and layed my blocks out, It looks so much better than I thought it would!
I still see two or three blocks that stand out to much, but they will probably stay.

please ignore the pink sheet! also a couple of blocks were trying to get away
