I'm using 80/20 poly-fil by Fairfield. I have not done this before so hope it all works out in the end.

GrannyQ I'm on the floor! Your blocks are beautiful! They are so nicely quilted. And the pic of a bunch of them-wow! Thank you so much. You guys have explained this so well that I don't feel so intimidated.

GrannyQ - Beautiful blocks and great quilting.
Are you using that "tape for joining the batting seams I have seen in some of the catalogs?" In some of the other quilts I have put together, I have joined the batting together by hand and it is a pain especially for as many blocks as the FWS has to join.

Yes, I am using the tape for joining just the batting seams, it really works well, that way when I do the quilting after I put the backing on everything will stay in place, when I quilt the sashing strips.

Thank you everyone for all the lovely comments on my quilt blocks, they have been quite addictive. I have really enjoyed making them with all of the ladies in this foroum.

Okay here the flimsy of my lap size FWS quilt. It is turned on its side - oh well!!! I plan to use the black as the binding.
