I mailed out the form for the Pony book today. Tomorrow is the deadline to get the extra $3 plus free media shipping. Take care, Anne
How does this group function? Can others join? I'm currently working on a Civil War BOM that has 6 inch blocks and have plans to start the FW as well as the Wedding Sampler Quilt within the next week or so. I'm making the Wedding Quilt for my son's 25 anniversary next May and will use the duplicate blocks in FW as practice. I doubt I will be able to do the Pony Quilt but I would sure enjoy watching others progress.

Hi Gardener Gal, The FWS Quilt-Along is still an on going quilt-along. There are a few ladies that sort of dropped in and out and a few new ladies that have just started. The group orginally started October 4, 2010 and I have posted the rotary cutting instructions every Tuesday since then until a few weeks ago when I posted for the last block # 111. If you post your photos of the blocks in the appropriate weeks' thread you will receive alot of ooh's and ahhhh's because those of us that have already done them are enjoying all the new eye candy. We all look forward to seeing them and hope you will continue to visit us when our new journey starts in January. Anne ps. Maybe you'll join us too!!! We'd love to have you! ATM

Hello GardnerGal ... I'm one of the late comers. I just joined the Board in April, then heard about this in May. I've just done a few blocks, and haven't posted any of them yet. Life is starting to settle to a dull roar for me now ... so I'm hoping to start getting a little more in the FWS groove and start seeing some progress. So please do join me and the others!

Hi Honchey ... as always the gracious hostess, you are!!! I'm looking forward to getting going on this now that Fair season is over (as in, just a few hours ago!) Maybe I can show the FWS next year? Would be nice! And am looking forward in galloping along with the group in the new year, when the PC hits the trail! :) You're the BEST!

Perfect Anne, I always start a new project, usually on Boxing Day but this time it will be in January. Can't wait

Count me in. I bought the book and couldn't put it down. I really like the pp patterns for some of the blocks. January is perfect for me, have too much going now to begin a new one. Starting to gather some fabric. It will be a good "ride".

Wow I'm glad I found this thread. I finally got back in my sewing room & turned out block 105 from the FWSQ last nite - but it's back to school tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be two more months before I finish the next in that pair and get them posted. THis teaching job has my time totally sucked up - tho after DH's death in May that has been a very good thing. I just don't know that I'll even have the original 111 blocks done (& I want to add 36 more blocks to make it king size) by the time you start the Pony Quilt, but I so enjoyed the journey this past year w/everyone I may try to catch up at some point when I feel like I'm getting back to some kind of a balance w/my time. Guess I could order the book & dream every once in awhile when I come up for air.

Once again I'm not getting notifications on new posts, but I do check in periodically. So glad I do so I can keep up with the goings on with "our" group. :-)
