I do know that the patterns made directly from the cd are right on when printed out but when you don't print them and send directly from the computer is what I am not sure about. Does that make sense?[/quote]

Are these from EQ? If you're drawing them in, is there a way you can put a one-inch square in the corner? I don't have EQ, just block base and quilt assistant.

I have the Companion cd and you look at and on it with EQ and am able to change or draw on with it, so yes, I will try that. Thanks.

This is going to take a bit of time. I need to read thru some more of the book. If anybody else has ideas please feel free to pop in.

    JAGSD,

LOVE your horse print. Everyone's blocks are so pretty. I love seeing all the different colors and how the blocks change depending on what fabric colors and patterns are used.

    Thank you Kooklabell.

I received the OK from Laurie, Now I just need to figure out how to pass them on thru the internet. Any suggestions? I have the Companion cd and EQ5. I will continue to play with it and see what I can come up with.

    Judy, Here's two ideas:

    1.

If EQ has a print feature, you can change it to a pdf file. Here's how: google CutePDF. They have a free version that you download on the spot.

Open your pp document. Select print. When your list of printers come up, there will be a printer called CutePDF. Click on it and it will ask you where you want to save it. Once you save it, it becomes a pdf file.

    2.

Print your paper piecing pattern. Scan it into the computer. If it gives you an option to scan it as a pdf file, choose that. If not, scan into Word or something like it. Use CutePDF to change to pdf file.

You can then post the link on your blog (or you can use mine) and people can download it that way. You may have to find a way to embed it in your blog... if you need help with that, I have a geek son who can figure it out. He's been helping me a lot with my blog!

Don't know if this will work, but....?

That could work out. You could just measure a square or rectangle on the pattern and then include that with the pattern so people could compare their print-outs.

    Good idea Anne!

I am still unable to get it sent thru the internet. I can print it, scan it but No PDF will show up.( it shows up on list to print for the PDF deal but it doesn't happen. Does it bneed to be listed as default? I am sorry about taking up this space for this but am lost as what to do.
