Block 57 was really difficult, I thought. It turned out about 6 inches instead of 6 1/2". I have several others that turned out too small. I am thinking after all blocks are completed, I will sort the blocks by size and make more than one quilt out of the 111 blocks.

I am doing the quilt as you go method that some of the Dear Jane BOM quilters are doing. I think it will really help me, as I just can't handle the larger quilting.

I love to see everyones blocks, even my DH is impressed with all the differences.

Will you please explain how you are doing the QAUG method. I am making 2 lap size quilts and want to get started on the first one. I also have some of my squares smaller than 6 1/2". (Glad I'm not the only one!)

I also found Block 57 hard. I've torn it apart I don't know how many times!!! I've finished both of this weeks blocks - will get them posted later today.

I was going to use the Yahoo group pp for block 57, until I saw their pattern. To me it looked like set in triangles. So I printed the pp pattern and cut it out. Then I reassembled it so it would go together like the one in the Lori's book. It went together like a charm.
