Block # 81 Snowball

1. Dark T # 1 Cut a strip 2-1/2" x 10-1/2" ... then cut every 2-1/2" to get four 2-1/2" squares.

2. Light T # 1 Cut one 2-1/2" square.

3.Dark T # 3 Cut two 2-7/8" squares ... then cut in half diagonally to get four triangles.

4. Light T #3 Repeat step # 3.

Option: From steps 3 and 4 leave the squares whole. Mark a line diagonally on the light squares. place a light and dark square together right sides facing--sew a scant 1/4"seam on both sides of the marked line then cut on the line. press..open..press again. try not to stretch the seam..You now have your HST's

Block # 82 Spider Legs

Note: starch your fabric well before cutting as some of the outside edges are on the bias. When I type in (ru) it means that I have rounded up the measurement less than 1/16 of an inch.

1. Light T # 4 Cut one 1-15/16" square.

2. Light T # 85 Cut a strip 1-5/8" (ru) x 7" ... then cut every 1-5/8" to get four squares than cut in half diagonally.

3. Dark T # 15 Cut two 3-3/4" (ru) squares...then cut in half diagonally.

4,5,6,7, These templates are measure 1' wide w/seam allowance ..cut your strips 11" long and use the templates to cut the angles.

8.Dark T # 78 Cut eight 1-1/4" (ru) x 3" rectangles. use the template to cut correct angles.
